Came here before a Yotes game. Wild that there is a bar without any kind of beer on draught. Ordered chips and a chicken sandwich. The chips were 12 dollars and definitely not even close to worth the price. Felt trappy. The chicken sandwich was pretty good, but my fries were cold? Service was really slow and I wasn't really impressed with the space. Wasn't incredibly upset that I went, but won't go back again next time I'm down in Tempe.

Always a great place to go, if you haven't been there I highly recommend it. Great service and friendly helpful staff. A must see in Tempe.

I went there with a friend. We sat down, and two or three waitresses passed by our table. We were ignored, I walked to the bar ordered drinks and asked the bartender if she could send someone to our table. Finally, a lady came over. She was helpful, Iwish Icould rememberhername. Took our order. The food was good. Her shift was ending, so we paid and decided to leave. Our waitress is the reason you got one star, I wasn't going to give you any for service.

Good atmosphere but received no service after being seated and waiting 20 mins. Didn't even get water offered from any of the 3 servers that passed me.

This was our first time here. I can only guess what kind of bar this turns into when the college kids hit it, but we arrived around 6:00 and the patio was fantastic. Our server was amazing. I ordered the cheese quesadilla, the most simple but perfectly executed cheese quesadilla I have ever had at a restaurant. In fact, it was just like I used to make when I was a teenager. Nostalgia rules sometimes. The other items we ordered were well executed and the ambiance was just what we needed. Bummer about no beers on tap, but you can't have it all.

Came here for the Super Bowl. Huge Niners fan present. Got lucky to be right in front of a big screen. However! There was a few second sound delay from the other tv’s. So you hear the other people clapping and cheering before you can see what happened. Our bartender was cool. $8 corona, $18 nachos, 20% automatic gratuity charged.

Waited 3 hours for a seat and someone sat down at the seat we were told was ready for us and the security did not ask them to move. We left, because they would not take do the right thing, it was very disrespectful and the girls at the hostess desk act like I didn’t know what they were doing. Complete disrespect?

Very very delicious fried chicken. Best I've had in a long time. My girlfriend had another plate that she loved as well. Like many other places on mill ave, it is more of a college

I went to Varisty Tavern to watch the 49ers game. I expected it to be a full house. When we arrived we were given the option for SRO at the bar or wait in line for a table. We decided to wait in line for a table since there was only 1 party in front of us. They were seated, but we waited. We stayed in the line for 1 1/2 hours as we had a drink and watched the game on the TV set from afar. All of a sudden the hostesses grabbed their booth without connecting with us to let us know they were no longer seating guests and what the situation was. We waited the entire time literally an arm reach away, so they were well aware we were still there in line. I eventually asked a security guard if he knew why they left, because they were no longer in sight and it was a confusing situation. Unfortunately, we left since we had no luck and my spouse was getting sick for not eating soon enough with her medication. She was on the verge of throwing up outside, but thankfully Taco Bell was nearby, so we were able to get her a quick bite to make her feel better. We are considering making another attempt next weekend, but it’s still up in the air. We’ve really been looking forward to this place to watch a game and grab a bite to eat. We will get there even earlier next time and try our luck again, but if that doesn’t work then I guess we give up at this point. Go Niners!

We waited from the beginning of the game until halfway through 3rd quarter behind the hostesses where they told us to stand, for a table and then the hostesses just left. Didn’t say anything. Everyone got a table who was standing in line in front of us except for us. They didn’t inform us they weren’t seating anymore and literally just disappeared. We asked security where they were and they said “oh they stopped seating people”… but we stood there waiting for the majority of the 49ers game, and barely could see the TVs because of it… we want to go back next week and try again but this service really is making us think twice. We drove all the way from Surprise to watch the game here to be left standing for nearly 3 hours waiting for a table… it would’ve been cool if they at least said they weren’t seating people anymore, but they didn’t and just left us standing in the same spot. If we would’ve known they weren’t seating we would have walked to a place where we could actually see the game. Very disappointed.
