I am currently standing outside of this establishment at 1am. I have been drinking water for the past couple hours, and was the most sober one in the group. I came in, showed my ID, and was the only one not let in because I was “too intoxicated.” Yet here I am outside in the cold typing out this review. It’s not that I wasn’t let in, but the fact that I was provided an explanation when I kindly asked. Maybe it’s because I’m black, and wearing a hoodie with a bedazzled “KING” hat since it’s my birthday. Never have I thought it’d have to come to this, but why were all my white friends let in? Again, not mad I couldn’t enter 1 of many bars in Flagstaff, but because I wasn’t told why my I was deemed “too intoxicated” when I spoke to the bouncer, showed my ID, and made eye contact. I don’t carry myself like that to where I’m too drunk. It’s baffling. Maybe it’s for good reason, but definitely was quick to leave a review due to the service.

My boyfriend and I were kicked out of Yucca Tap Room tonight 3/8/24 at 7pm by a security guard. I asked for the reason why and he said “that’s the way it is”. Repeating myself, I asked “WHY?” And he repeated, “that’s the way it is” and didn’t make any eye contact.He then said we are accepted before 7pm but not after 7pm. So to be away from conflict, we left without saying another word.Which is bazar!!!! Do you not agree?Please make this make sense?We have been loving and supporting Yucca financially and verbally to friends while having birthday parties here for years now. So much that we know most of the staff and bartenders and the Bat Cave pinball crew.We were told by your head of security this night that we are not allowed after 7pm and not even allowed to play pinball.We love Yucca and this just means we will not be back.If you do not like our money that is fine. There are other pinball bar places we enjoy. We just loved supporting your establishment but we will not tolerate being kicked out for no explanation by one of your security leads. We are owed an explanation at least after our years of business.

I've been coming here for years with zero problem. My bf and I have always loved the pinball games and the staff :) then tonight, for no reason, we both got removed from the bar. Mind you, we'd only just arrived, we were making no ruckus, just chilling on our own, and a "security" member removes us both. Four times we asked why, only to be told "that's the way it is." Unreal. If you're scared of gay couples, say it. If we're doing something wrong, say it. We still don't know why we've been kicked from our favorite hangout spot. However, now we're now a perfectly happy to avoid it. thanks the memories yucca :')

A must-visit spot to stand within the walls of Tempe music history. The stage is great for shows and the expanded space and arcade are perfect escapes from the noise. This bar is an unassuming powerhouse. The staff are laid back, the beer is cold, and the pinball is icing on the cake. It's always a good hang.
