Honestly this restaurant needs a lot of improvement. To start, the service is not the best; you seat yourself and are hardly greeted by the staff. I’m not from Oaxaca myself but as general Mexican food, the flavoring is off and the preparation mediocre (I found small chicken bones in my dish). The prices are high, almost $20 per place and drinks almost $10. With those prices one would think at least the interior is nice but it isn’t. Our bill was $130 (for 4 people) and we left the opposite of satisfied.

Great authentic Mexican food. If your looking for great tasting Chile Rellenos then this is the place. We ordered Chile Rellenos and Camarones al mojo de Ajo(shrimp in garlic sauce). Both dish were delicious it came with home made tortillas.Just be ready to wait since it's all freshly made. We were getting upset because our food was taking too long. Once we tasted the food we were glad we waited.Again highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Mushroom quesadilla, chile relleno, etc. Etc.

This place is a joke! Went in there with my sister and mom for the first time and it’s definitely the last. We ordered aquas to start and when we received them, they had no flavor. The food was served cold when I got up to ask for the check and let them know that we didn’t eat or drink what was served the server accused me of not opening up my mouth when she had dropped off the food. I told her at that point we still hadn’t even ate it. I asked her if I could speak to the manager of the place and she proceeded to tell me that there was no way of contacting the owner but I could come back. The guy cooking came to the front and started give g me attitude. After everything they ended up giving me a small discount after I paid the guy proceeded to ask me if that was my first time. I told him yes, then he proceeded to say he’s seen me there before, as if I’ve done this before. Totally disrespectful! I will never eat at this place again

They aren't on the menu but I asked for chilaquiles de mole and they were delicious! The beans and rice were yummy but about room temperature. My 6-yr loved her sopa de fideo. My hubby enjoyed his shrimp fajitas with handmade tortillas but mentioned the shrimp could have been a bit better to get five stars. Café de Olla was excellent as well!

The service was horrible, the chilacayota water was tasteless, the house tlayuda had an ugly taste, the chicken that was brought was not well cooked. The black mole tasted like cinnamon and the chicken had a bad taste. The squash blossom quesadillas were sour. I will not return again and it is very expensive.

Cozy local business. Very homey. Great salsas. Homemade tortillas, fresh bakery and Mexican breads. The food was fresh and so delicious I highly recommend for fabulous, authentic food.

Y NUNCA REGRESAREMOS.

This restaurant is not very clean. the same lady bringing the food handles the register. The restroom was dirty. I had sour soup punch and it was watery and not flavorful like it should be. Enmoladas were cold and tough. Mole was nothing special, out of the packet. The rice was tasteless and the beans were just ok. Salsas that come with the chips were flavorful but both too spicy hot. if you want mole, you are better off going further down the road to Barrio Queen. Service is much better there and prices aren't that different ( and it is cleaner and friendlier). I was excited to see quesadillas of zucchini squash and corn mushroom but based on the experience today, I don't think I'll be coming back. Please note, no se habla inglés there. No English spoken.
