My son orders me their vegan fruitcake (aka rainforest cake). So very delicious. He orders the one pound loaf. It’s just the right size for one person. This cake is divine.

I found Greenheart Bakery on Yelp while traveling and was able to stop at their stand at the Heirloom Farmers Market Rillito Park. I bought the Thai Budha Bowls and a variety of sweet treats. Everything was plant based oil free and delicious!!

My partner and I started out trying Alaine's baked goods when we saw them at the Heirloom Farmers Market. Low or no fat, no refined sugar, and delicious! One weekend, we decided to try her curry chik'un salad and a millet & lentil loaf sandwich. Oh my! I asked to be added to her weekly menu email list, and--unless we're out of town--we get savory and sweet goodies each week. For the amount and quality of food received, prices are quite reasonable. Whether you're a "healthy" eater or not, this food is wonderful!

She's super nice! You can message her on Facebook to request different flavors, commission orders, and reserve menu items so she'll save it for you at the farmers market. I love her cake! I've made cashew frosting and paleo cakes dozens of times, but they're always so dense and never seem cooked when I make them. She makes this amazingly creamy tofu frosting and cake that is most but not too dense! I don't know how she does it.

I can't say enough about Alaine! I called her on a Tuesday for a vegan cake I needed by Friday for a friend's birthday. She's so personable, asked lots of questions to get specifics, explained her ingredients and previous experiences... Now I didn't personally get to try the red velvet with buttercream but my friend said it was GREAT, like raved about it (but failed to take a picture b4 eating). However, I did catch Alaine today at the Farmers Market and I tried hey red velvet cupcake which had the same ingredients, one of which being beet powder which I'd never heard of for the redness. This cupcake was so moist! Omg and the tufu icing...btw I'm not vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or Episcopalian (yes, I know that's a religion) JOKE but I'd highly recommend Alaine for your baking needs. I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie, brownie and banana nut bread from her today as well, only scarfed the cookie so far and DELECTABLE!!!
