Stopped in here this afternoon because of the good reviews. You would never guess we were in a pandemic. The table was dirty. It looks like the floor hasn’t seen a mop in a long time. Cobwebs on pictures and ceiling. I used the restroom and part of the door was missing. Really made me wonder if the health department checks this place

Went to Bob Dobbs for dinner. The downside, on the entrance door was posted that they lost there Health Certificate and were operating without one(failed inspection on 8/17/2018 & 7/11/2018 per Pima County Health dept website); this was our first visit, and since we were there we and ordering fried food, we'd risk it. It was a Friday eve and I ordered the special, Fried Clams($6.50) and another ordered the Shrimp special($6.50). It was also happy hour and Mexican bottle beers were $3.50. The clams were very good and plentiful and the the shrimp dinner was good too. The seafood sauce had a unique taste with oriental hot mustard added. They were very busy and service was slow. On my way to the restroom, I could see into the kitchen, & I saw the cook handling raw potato fries without gloves and when I exited the restroom, the same cook was handling lettuce for a sandwich without gloves.

I lived down the street from Bob Dobbs for many years now and I still love going. Whether its just for a drink or full meal you should stop by.

We visited Bob Dobbs for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't overly crowded. Several of the patrons seemed to be regulars. The vibe is very casual - a small neighborhood tavern or pub, with sports photos, beer advertisements and televisions on the wall. There were about 12-15 tables and a bar inside, plus covered outdoor patio seating. The menu is mostly typical pub food - burgers, sandwiches, wings, nachos, baskets of fried chicken or fish - but they do also offer entree salads, a vegetarian sandwich, and wraps for those who want something lighter. (We wish they had a black bean or veggie burger option.) We ordered an Apple & Havarti Salad and Fish Tacos (Friday daily special) with a dinner salad. The server was pleasant but busy; she appeared to be a one-woman show but she was managing to keep all the balls in the air. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and tasted good. We thought the prices were fair for the portion sizes. We'll probably visit again when we're in the neighborhood. Free parking lot behind the building. Happy Hour on weekdays from 3:00 to 7:00pm and after 10:00pm.
