Bombolé is a cute place located downtown and perfect for anyone looking to grab a quick bite of food. I love their Chicken Tikka Masala bowl and various empanadas, flaky with a tasty filling. For their empanadas, you can choose a meat one, vegetarian, or even a breakfast style one (sold at Ike's). You can also choose a dipping sauce to go with it, including mint chutney or tikka masala sauce! I love their EPS empanada (egg, potato, and sausage) and butter chicken empanada the best!
Love this place All the empanadas are delicious! My favorite are the pork empanada and the banana nutella empanadas. Go now, trust me!
I'd never had the pleasure of going to Bombolé before yesterday and basically my mouth started watering from seeing all the choices they had. When I got there yesterday, I was warmly greeted and had a chance to see all the options. Since I went around lunch time, I went with a meat-filled empanada (chicken) and got the tikka masala dipping sauce. I was absolutely blown away by how light the dough was, how the empanada had the perfect ratio of meat the dough, how moist and flavorful the filling was, and just how satisfying a single empanada could be. It was a very *chef's kiss* experience. I can't wait to go back and I've already been telling my friends to check it out!
The pork empanada the best!!! Although, service kinda sucks. Never greated on way in, I felt very rushed and forget about asking about ingredients you'll get a super fast reply. I paid almost 100$ today and 45$ yesterday and brought my mil to spend her $ here. I worked as a server I know customer service. They deff need some help in that department. At least you can do is make me feel valued. The only thing keeping me is those dammm empanadas that's the ONLY reason I come back.
So delicious! Their empanadas make you feel at home. They are so delicious like they were made with love.
Had the chorizo empanada definitely recommend having it with the masala sauce. Very tasty.
Wow! I got a butter chicken empanada meal here and, it made my day. Id suggest a meal; the lentils and cabbage were amazing too! They had Jamaica, or uh.. hibiscus tea and it was tops too. It made me miss Mexico, and want to visit India.
This place is a must. Great flavors, easy to eat there and/or they have Take and Bake. Yummy.
we ordered these empanadas for takeout, and were so happy we did! the pastry dough was so delicious and flakey, and each flavor we got was great. they have lots of veggie and non-veggie options, making it perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! they also had tons of sauce options to choose from, so it was fun to try a lot of different flavors. would definitely recommend, and can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!
They have empanadas with indian insides. Biggest grips is lack of a lot of options.
So good. So so good. I've had this place in my bookmarked spots I'd eventually visit & it finally happened! I've put it off because parking downtown is never fun but I went on a Saturday afternoon when downtown was a ghost town & I easily found street parking. I got some stuff to take home and share with friends and I appreciated the sturdy packaging that kept everything intact. We got a mango & cheese empanada and a guava and cheese one. The empanadas' dough was buttery and flaky but not greasy. Mango was a little over-browned but not enough to affect the fantastic flavor. We did reheat the guava and cheese leftovers the next day and it reheated beautifully in the toaster oven. The cheese in the mango was really tasty but save for a couple of bites, I couldn't really taste the mango. A few more chunks of fruit would've enhanced the mango flavor. For savoury, we went with the paneer, the pork, the spinach/feta, & the beef. Our least favorite was beef. The beef is shredded very thinly and mixed with some other stuff so it resembles a sloppy joe a bit. It was okay but not memorable in any way. It could have just as easily have been chicken. Our favorite was surprisingly the paneer. I'm not a fan of peas but the flavor of the whole filling with that flaky empanada shell was just perfection. The pork had a strong but not overpowering curry taste and it was also a hit with everyone. Again the pork was more shredded than chunky. Spinach and feta was also highly rated by everyone. Having made empanadas before, what I really appreciate is not only how delicious the fillings were but also how moist they remained while making sure the whole empanada dough was well baked. No raw bits or leaks at all, which is impressive to me! We also got the two slaw sides but were pretty underwhelmed by both the portion size and flavors. We'd stick to ordering more empanadas next time and there will definitely be a next time!
These empanadas are so well prepared and delicious, with the flakiest pastry and delicious savory or sweet fillings!!!! Generous portions, either vegetarian or meat. All made with expert culinary skills. More please!!!
A must see & eat at restaurant; uniquely delicious, fusion of India & Latin America in an ambience that inspires and invites you to stay a while. Service was fine - willing to help and guide you in your decision
Placed Grub hub order for pickup, took 45 minutes order to be ready. While I waited I was the only one there, it was not busy. While I was waiting, unknown to me, I got an email from GrubHub notifying me order had been updated. It wasn't until I got home that I realized three of my items had been removed from my order, causing me to have to order more food for the people that were unfed in my house. I was immediately refunded for the items, and I understand supplies run low, but if I had received a simple phone call I could've replaced the items. I'm giving two stars because the food we did get was good.
