Four of us had an early dinner at CDR on March 26th. In general, our experience did not live up to CDR's reputation. My wife and the other lady in our party had the Del Rey Caesar with shrimp and chicken and they felt the Caesar was very understated and not remarkable. The other male in our party had the Filet Mignon, which he felt was excellent. We ordered an order of Esquites to share and they were tough and not creamy. I had the 12oz. Prime Rib and it was prepared perfectly but at least 5oz. was fat; the tenderness of the Prime Rib was just OK. We won't return. However, in contrast, Charrovida on Oracle Rd. is a solid 4+ star restaurant.

Great special occasion restaurant. We love that they serve American style seafood, alongside classic Mexican dishes. Make a reservation well in advance! Specify where you want to sit of they will stick you in the dark bar area.

Found this place scrolling through the list of restaurants and came across Charro Steak & Del Rey and it was fantastic! Prime rib was flavorful, filet was cooked perfectly, and the pb & c cake phenomenal. This place won’t disappoint. Service was stellar as well.

A very enjoyable experience and it’s an extensive menu of streaks, seafood, and Mexican dishes completed by a wide selection of beer and wine. We started with the meatballs and chili con queso minis and promptly ordered mere meatballs. For my main I chose the surf and turf enchiladas which were delicious (my colleagues and enjoyed the streaks and bone in chicken. Our sides included the sprouts (exceptional) and the macaroni and cheese (rich and creamy). The desert included sever reorders of the strawberries which were outstanding. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Will never return to the steak or seafood side!! We had bad experience a few months ago on the steak side so thought we would try the seafood side. My husband and I shared an appetizer it was the seafood tower at market price. We asked how much and our server said it was $125 but convinced us we did not need to order anything else because we would be full after it. We got it and was huge disappointment. We felt ripped off and asked to speak to a manager. He came over and said go to the casino you would be charged $170. We did not like how he talked to us and was very rude. For the food we got it should have cost at most $60. The tower was to feed 2-4 and we both left hungry. With drinks and tip it was almost a $200 dinner!! Very disappointed in the food and service. Can get a lot more value for your money anywhere else!

Excellent dinner and excellent service last night! We started with sangria, trying both the red and the white. Then moved on to oysters and salad, finishing with carne asada and prime rib. Everything was good, nothing was typical! Would definitely come back again!
