We were shocked that at 7PM only two tables were occupied, I suppose this was why our waitress saw us walking in from the parking lot hurried back inside so she could our waitress. My wife and I did not want to drive far as she had to be to work within an 1.5 hour so we decided to give Garrett's a try as it was just down the street. Steak prices were high and I was not about to pay their prices. My 1/2lb was great, but I prefer the fries to be crispy and the fries were not. My wife had the Chicken salad and she too said it was good. Our waitress was very friendly and polite (5 Stars) and had two others helping keep our drinks full. We were offered desert but at $6.50 for a slice of pie is ridiculous, that makes a full pie a $50.00 pie. Maybe the prices are why customers are not walking through the door plus they are only open 4 hours a day, 4pm-8pm.

My husband an I have been dining at Garrett's for quite some time and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The different daily specials that are offered keep us going back....you must try the meatloaf and beer battered pork chop! The staff has always been friendly as well accommodating for our sometimes large group.

Excellent service! Came here because we couldn't find a steak house to sit 15 people together. Staff was super friendly and patient. Food is delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

I don't think I have ever had to give this poor of a rating before. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Went for Mother's Day and it was a disaster. Took an hour just to get water, alcoholic drinks ordered came with NO alcohol in them and rude diners with staring problems. When we finally got our meals they were all of a sudden out of the sides we ordered and no one came out to say anything BEFORE our meals were brought out. How does that even happen it's a steakhouse!!??? Massively disappointed for a place with such high ratings. Would NOT recommend.

Service was good, but the meat was not good for a Steakhouse. Clearly not fresh and my medium rare was cooked exactly the same as my husband's medium. Atmosphere is relaxed and casual, not that I mind this at all, but it doesn't match the menu and it pricing. We won't be returning.

First time dining here, unfortunately probably will not go back. Gravy was cold, and I'm not convinced that the chicken fried steak wasn't just a frozen patty.

In one word “Terrible “. Hadn’t been there in a year. Now I remember why I stayed away. Large cut of prime rib was disgusting. Didn’t even look like prime rib. So much fatty tissue, yuck. Couldn’t cut the paper thin pieces, so tough. Potato was rock hard and not even hot. Frozen vegetables with no flavor. I recommend you avoid this place. Never again!

My husband and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night excited there was a steakhouse next to our new home we recently moved into. Should have known our experience was not going to be great since the restaurant was pretty empty. I ordered a cheeseburger med well. The burger was pretty burnt to the point the ends were crunching. I ate half trying to stomach it because I was starving. I could not finish it as it started to gross me out. Burgers aren't supposed to crunch! My husband ordered the Cajun chicken pasta, which should have been named Cajun dry chicken soup. I did mention to our server that the burger was way over cooked and I was only able to finish half. They spoke to the manager and offered me a whopping 20% off the bill. That totaled $2 off our bill! It's safe to say we will never go back to this place again. Don't waste your money. Probably safer going to Village Inn across the street. One highlight to this place was the greeter/bus boy working that night. He was a great employee and was the only one empathetic to my shitty burger.

WOW the food, the food and the food! They are known for their unbelievable high quality cuts of meat. There was a meatloaf special made with ground filet mignon. I was temped, but had the french dip made with prime rib instead. Delicious! Request the horsey sauce. Best coleslaw I've ever had. The shrimp cocktail had the biggest shrimp I've seen in a long time. Excellent service and a huge surprise for a restaurant located in a strip mall!

Our 1st time here. He had the Bison burger, I had the prime rib. Both were spectacular! Typically, with prime, it's served with real deal horseradish which I can't handle, just too strong. Here, they served it as some creamy style deal & it was amazing! Had the flavor without the sinus-clearing ZING & I was happy to be able to enjoy it on my steak. Amy was our server & she was just delightful. We saw the manager coming around to chat with folks after their meal was served to check how things tasted, a classy touch. Overall, we were very happy with our 1st experience and will be back :)

Absolutely stay away! This food was terrible for Monday night with only a few tables with customers. The Mahi was over cooked and dry. My son had the chicken which was two small pieces and over cooked buried in what supposed to be a mushroom artichoke sauce. My other son had a hamburger cooked perfect but curly fries over cooked and crunchy. The food was decent last year but definitely went down hill. Very disappointed and over priced for what we received. Texas Roadhouse would have been half the price and better. Forgot to mention it took 50 mins to receive our food. Witnessed a Grub Hub driver leave without food due to waiting an hour. With Covid happening we try to support local but this is not the way to run an restaurant.

First off, the food, especially the steak, was amazing. Best steak I've had in a while. The server was very friendly and the service was surprisingly quick. The steakhouse environment was great too; good music, decorations, and friendly people. The dessert was amazing too. Overall a great local restaurant. Highly recommend!

Very saddened by this most recent experience We were VERY displeased in a $116 takeout order Sunday evening. I called the restaurant to place order, was advised that online ordering was preferred and to go to the website.I understand, especially these days, so I did... had no issues. Order confirmed with a convenient ready time. Arrived on time to pick up ,upon entering restaurant we were greeted by a nice young lady at the desk. Gave her my info and she brought another much smaller order to us, then she came back to state the order was not received. Not only was my order not received she stated she was "sorry but the computers were "glitchy" all day" ... 45 mins earlier when I called I was TOLD that was the preferred way to take orders!?!?! (If system was glitchy you would think they would take phone orders to avoid a mix up) We were not the only ones displeased on Sunday night, there were 4 other people waiting .. Grubhub guy was MAD!!!.Was asked to retake our order, and they would put a "rush on it". Showed her the confirmed order on my phone. Only to have her come back out and say 3 of the 4 meals we ordered they were "out of" , ahhh at 6pm on a Sunday night.??We were asked to pick a replacements and given a 20 min ready time frame. Again with a sincere apology of the mix up. She was helpful and it was not her fault. We waited instead 40 + mins for the new order. Drove 5 mins away (to share meal with my father, who is in an assisted living facility who we have not see in months per Covid , his ONE request now that we can come visit him, was a steak from Garretts' )Not only was the food ice COLD, his steak was ordered Well Done ... clearly you can see it was not. We paid extra $$ for onions and mushrooms - there were 4 mushroom pieces in the container , the other items we were told they were "out of" and we had to make new selections for , were now in the bag!?!?! We received the original order that we placed 80 mins prior online as told, ( minus the baked potatoes) :( -If there was an error... FINE but own up to that and don't give us the original order that was now over an hour old and cold.We have been coming to Garretts for awhile, the staff is usually amazing , warming, fun and friendly. They had nothing to say but " sorry computers do that sometimes" You had no problem taking my $116.00 .We have patronized for several occasions, I have bought many gift cards for friends and referred to others.to check it out..... we will no longer be doing that!! Horseshoe Grill and Pinnacle Peak will be our Go to's now. :(

Garrett is just as good as it always was. Service is excellent food is presented well and tastes great. My friend and I had gotten our vaccinations earlier this year so we indulged ourselves in a celebratory meal out at Garrett's. We early birded it since we are old ladies so there was no crowd and it was very peaceful. It was on a Monday. Remains one of our favorite places to eat. My friend Hannah hamburger and we both had onion rings. I had a French dip and had to ask for a box, because the portions are very generous. Glad they weathered the pandemic. Nice hometown restaurant.
