What a peaceful and restorative stay- this is the perfect place to relax with you family and enjoy the scenic views. The property is beautiful, I couldn’t stop taking pictures on my walks to dinner and the pool. They obviously take care of and cherish this historic building. The staff is beyond pleasant, and everyone seems to want to make our experience spectacular.

Fabulous position in the Catalina foothills outside Tucson. Absolutely amazing views across the desert and to the hills. Fabulous resort grounds and facilities - 3 pools with hot tubs, well equipped gym with great view, beautiful gardens, formal restaurant and lovely casual Terraza restaurant. Staff were very attentive and room service was impeccable. Our room was beautiful with a gorgeous view across to the mountains and very comfortable beds. The shower pressure and heat were a bit low but we were in a desert! I was a little annoyed that they were unable to seat us for breakfast as we arrived 25 minutes prior to closing and they were full so I would suggest making reservations in advance. All in all, we enjoyed 3 fabulous nights here and would recommend it highly.

The ranch is fantastic, the rooms are really interesting and big, you can also get a great view of the mountains. They have some fantastic art (and cacti!) all around the hotel. Service is very friendly and helpful. The three pools are all clean with nice views. We didn’t have time to try the grill but the cafe restaurant and bar were very good and we connected with their neighbouring hotel to do sunset horse riding which was an amazing experience.

Wonderful hotel and great location. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short due to family medical emergency but the hotel staff and management were exceptionally kind given our situation. We appreciate it.

My parents booked my wife and I a five day stay at the Hacienda Del Sol. They intended for this to be the most special trip they could find in Tucson for us. I believe they picked HDS on the fact that it's the #1-rated resort in town. And further, they paid extra for us to have a "Mountain View" room. It means the world they did this. So we showed up and checked in, and went to our room...and my wife pointed out something funny. Like, absurdly funny: There were a bunch of huge bushes blocking the Mountain View! I want to be exactly clear what I mean by this, so I've attached a picture. It is honestly the weirdest thing. The hotel is positioned to have the most SPECTACULAR vista of the mountain range, the sort of thing anyone would pay top dollar for. And ... there's a whole bunch of foliage in the way! Something really, really sat wrong with me about this. It's like if your mom and dad work really hard to get you something as a gift, and they think you're getting a particular gift, and then the gift shows up broken. So I called the manager, and she was very quick to get back. I explained the problem, and I made it clear that I wasn't angry or upset; that I just wanted the room to have an actual mountain view as promised. I work in a field that has its share of customer complaints, and I know from personal experience that there's no use in getting angry and yelling and being adversarial; if there's a problem, just explain what's going on, make sure you both agree there's a problem, then figure out the best fix. The manager apologized and said that the gardeners had gone home for the day, but that she'd take a look. We left for the afternoon, and when my wife returned, the manager was actually in our room with a pair of shears! She said she'd been hoping to fix the problem herself, but said that it was clearly beyond her ability given how big the bushes were. Nonetheless, she said she totally understood the complaint, and that the gardeners would be in the following morning to cut back the foliage so that our room would indeed have a mountain view. I was extremely impressed at such a quick response to our issue. No one ever came by. No one ever called with an update. My imagination goes to a million possibilities. Maybe the gardeners were unavailable! Maybe the foliage was beyond the property line. Maybe the plants were a rare desert variety that shouldn't be harmed. I have no idea, because I never got a call. All I know is that each morning, I woke up and got my complimentary coffee, and then returned to the room and sat on the nice patio outside staring at bushes instead of mountains while thinking of the extra money my parents had paid for this privilege. Extremely disappointed.

Stayed in a Casita with our 2 collies. Beautiful space and very dog friendly. The mini kitchen is convenient, nice to have robes, and the patio is excellent for watching the sunset. We ate in the bar several times and the bartender had our preferences down after the first visit. Food was very good. Staff is very friendly dly

Lovely resort with dining, spa and pools. We traveled during spring break. It was a little chilly to enjoy the pool(s). There are three on property. The room was very clean and house keeping came everyday. We opted for a room with two queens and an outside shower. It was warm enough in the daytime to use the outdoor shower. Our son thought it was really cool to shower outside. We did not see any other teens at the resort. In fact, my husband and I were some of the youngest people there and we are in our late 40s. There were several senior bike tours at the resort. My son used the the workout room. It has a couple of bikes, free weights and 4 treadmills. We ate breakfast onsite and it was one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip. Get the pancake, it's huge and we enough to share. Overall, we would definitely stay here again but probably not with our teenage son. He was a little bored.

We attended a family wedding and had a great experience. We booked spa services, had lunch at one of their restaurants and stayed at a one bedroom casita. Everything was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Tucson and planning a wedding.

Not a bad thing to say about this Ranch/Resort. Food was great, drinks delicious, staff attentive and kind, grounds beautiful, location easily accessible to the nature nearby and not far from downtown. I wish I could have stayed forever!

Great 2 night stay. Staff was excellent and special shout out to Logan in reservations. I called same day and he set me up with great room/price. Bad weather so didn’t use pool/hot tubs. Stayed in historic room suite. Grounds were beautiful.

What a beautiful resort! Set in Catalina Hills.; every view is beautiful! The grounds are incredibly designed with local plants and art. The staff were very helpful and went the extra mile. Dining in the Terraza Garden restaurant was pleasant and with big views of breathtaking scenery. Jenna was our server and she went the extra mile to get us Cranberry juice which wasn't on the menu. The rooms were beautifully put together and spacious. Housekeeping were caring about what we needed. We also loved the history of the place. We were there in December from Canada and the weather was just perfect for us. 2/3 pools were open as one was being renovated. Pools are heated and bath robes are supplied. Very nice! Sleep comfort was excellent! Highly recommend!

The photos online don’t do it Justice. The place is breathtaking. I loved the grounds, my room with Mountain View’s, the staff, and the 24 hour heated outdoor pool!!!!… it was all so wonderful. The girl at the gift shop (shoulder length brown wavy-ish hair) was so kind and pleasant. She also helped me with check out the next day and was doing a wonderful job juggling many tasks with grace. Thank you for a great stay! I am DEFINITELY coming back and bringing my family for another stay here!

've stayed at some very nice places in my life and this place is now in my top 5 at least. From the grounds, facilities, to the staff. More than 5 stars. We had 2 rooms and they were both very clean with good views of the mountains. It is so quiet here. We stayed four days and didn't hear a siren once. The loudest it got was New Year's Eve which was totally understandable. And that was only if we went to the front desk or one of their excellent restaurants. The restaurants staff are excellent. Food was very good. The spa is also vey excellent. It was our first time visiting Tucson and when we visit again, we're not even thinking about staying elsewhere, this will be where we will stay.

Enjoyed our Christmas get away. The Christmas buffet was good and relaxing. Did not feel rushed. Was able to sample small portions, and return for any that second portions was desired. The music was a little loud.
