I came here for the ratings and convenience because it was across from my hotel, but it was underwhelming. Tonkotsu ramen was watery, chicken katsu curry chicken was tough and my Thai iced tea was mostly milk that I could barely taste the tea. I’ve had Michelin ramen and Cocoichiban curry, and this obviously didn’t compare, but I couldn’t finish my food. I just couldn’t continue.

This is a great little gem in downtown Tucson right across from the courthouse and on the streetcar line.I ordered Thai Curry with pork and dumplings. I got spice level 6. I love spicy food but also like to be able to taste my food. Level 6 was perfect.There’s inside seating and self serve drinks or a small patio on the sidewalk. I sat outside because it was a beautiful day. Great atmosphere and scenery. Highly recommended.

This curry ramen was exceptional! The pork was flavorful and soft. There were so many little details like the green onions and ginger. It was bomb ? ordered through doordash online and picked up in store, ready in about ten minutes. Though on the app it would have said it was ready later. Friendly staff and a water station ?
I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. It wasn't spicy but it had a good kick into it, there was no spice sediment leftover on the bottom of the bowl. They use different noodles depending on the ramen u get, which is very nice. Mine looked like rice noodles. The broth tasted kind of minty, had a curry like flavor to it mixed with the tonkotsu. The pork meat was soft and had soy sauce like taste to it. The ginger was kind of strong though, but I didn't mind. The sauce on the takoyaki was good, and the takoyaki itself was delish.

Everyone in our household gets to pick a restaurant for their birthday. It was my daughter's turn and she picked Ja Ramen Curry. She used to attend high school downtown and would occasionally eat at Ja for lunch. My son has also eaten at Ja but this was a new restaurant for my husband and I. We all ordered different dishes and I won't speak for everyone's food but I ordered the Chicken Yakisoba Katsu noodles because I was in the mood for dry noodles. I absolutely love the crunch of Katsu and Ja did not disappoint. Everyone else loved their meals too. Both kids also ordered Taiyaki for dessert and gave me a bite to taste. Delicious! Also, staff were pleasant and service was quick. We were also lucky enough to nab a good parking spot. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

I work near here and go here often for lunch. I love their Las Vegas roll and crab puffs. Ramen is amazing but is a lot to eat for one person so I don’t get it often. People here are super friendly too, A+++++
