Only went once and it was not good or remotely fresh tasting. It was a huge disappointment and do t think we will ever go again and never knew anyone who has been there

By far the best sushi we have found in Tucson. Very generous portions, very very kind Staff and the prices cannot be beat. We will not go anywhere else in Tucson now that we have found this place!

I'm from the west coast so I've been spoiled by many a great sushi place. Kampai is my favorite place to get sushi in Tucson.

I hadn't been there for awhile.. it was redecorated but unfortunately I didn't think the food was very good nor was the service friendly. Just my opinion. Won't go back . Too many other places to try

My kids and I enjoy our weekly visits to Kampai! The sushi is tasty and fresh. There is so much to chose from. The owners serve with a smile and take pride in their restaurant.

I've had take out from Kampai and it's always been excellent. Last night, I brought the family with me for some apps and sushi and it was really awesome! We had the gyoza for our starter and it was delicious! The service is great, as it's speedy and friendly. That's always appreciated. We shared a few different kinds of sushi for dinner and all were so fresh and perfectly made! My husband loves spicy tuna rolls and he said Kampai has the best he's tasted in Tucson! I'm already looking forward to our next visit to Kampai! Highly recommend!

Service was as expected, not too intrusive. Rolls were pretty good especially for the price, ranging from 6.5 to 14. The interior wasn't anything to write home about.

I do not understand how there isn't a line out the door!! This place is so good! The food is super fresh and delicious. The sushi is the best in town in my opinion and I'm very picky. The restaurant is extremely clean, my husband makes a comment every time we go. It is owner operated, and they always greet you warmly. Can't recommend this place enough. Need a date night go here!

Love their Salmon!! High quality and fresh every time!! A little on the pricier side, but definitely worth it.

Being from Japan I know I am biased but this was one of the worse "Japanese" restaurants I have ever been too. Poor service and bland food plus the room was strange with no ambiance at all. The owner sat at the bar looking pissed off at the world.

A small, family run sushi place that is awesome, on the NW part of town. Yelp reviews got me there so I will return the favor after enjoying a huge sushi roll and teriyaki chicken bowl. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the chicken teriyaki was came in a gigantic portion over freshly sautéed vegetables, with a side of rice. It was all very tasty and served fast. You can watch your sushi being freshly made at the sushi counter or eat at on of the tables inside. Will certainly go back for more.

6pm on Saturday night and the place was empty. This should have been our first clue. Do not recommend if you love Japanese sushi. This ain’t it. It’s Americanized with all the sauces to cover up the fact that the fish is not fresh and poor quality.

From the strange dining room, the mediocre food and service to the surly owner, we couldn't have been more disappointed. The fish was not fresh (except for the shrimp nigiri and way to Americanized for people who grew up eating sushi in Japan. We have now tried everything in Tucson, this was our last one. Snow fox at Fry's is better (at least it's fresher and you get what you pay for).
