“My vegan meal looked fresh .The vegetables ,and tasted wonderful lots of flavor. The turmeric lemonade was good. The service was awesome. So many people put all the flavor in the meat, they forget about the vegetables. Anyways after my somewhat awful experience at another Mexican restaurant, this is was on point. So thanks a repeat place to go to.“
“1 vegetarian and 1 carnivore thought the food was excellent with many choices and it was all reasonably priced. The service was excellent; these servers, cooks and helpers worked together like we'd never seen! I saw a server run outside after customers who had left their leftovers package on the table. Those folks were so grateful; he even called them by name! They should teach a class! The ambiance was the original draw, dining in the foothills at sunset is just so beautiful! A terrific experience.“
“First time trying this place with my family. In the same complex right next to another good place Tuk Tuk. Have not had Peruvian food but clearly some Spanish influences. They have a great mix of both seafood and meat dishes. Had dishes ranging from the ceviche to the lomo saltado. All the dishes were very delicious and felt authentic. When on da Saturday afternoons and sat inside. All of the staff were friendly and our waiter was welcoming and nice and helpful. On the night we went they had live music playing outside which was nice to listen to as well. When you sit inside you can really smell the cooking of the food and it's all delicious! Would return again!“
“My friend from Iowa came to visit and we chose your place as our last dinner date night. We had the absolute best experience. Great sour cocktails, wine suggestions, food suggestions, and wonderful service!! We tried a few appetizers and shared two meals- everything was amazing. “Definitely one of the best salsas in Tuxon. This is the place I take people who are visiting from out of town. Great prices and stellar food from South Tucson.Parking: Plenty of spots at their free lot. Also you can park 36th in a pinch, which you can see from the main entrance.“

“We called ahead and clarified that we were put on the waiting list when we arrived. The hostess told us we can have a drink at the bar while waiting on the table. After about an hour of waiting on a table and seeing the waiting area clear out, the hostess acknowledged she took me off the list when questioned. She then began to argue that I was not on the list because I requested to be taken off of the list per a conversation that I had with her, which could only have occurred during the time I was in the male restroom. I did not have any other conversation after I told her we will wait for our table while we have a drink at the bar. The table we sat at was directly behind her (10 feet away). She could have asked for clarification at any point if she was confused. It’s unfortunate that I had family from out of town that I brought to this establishment instead of anywhere else in Tucson but the quality of service was poor from the hostess. The waitress was nice. We paid our bill in full and she was tipped. We ended up having to sit at the bar when the hostess responded with “I can add you back to the list”.Recommendation is to constantly follow up with the hostess. Our mistake was telling her twice that we are waiting on a table. It sometimes requires more repetition than telling someone twice. It’s unfortunate because this establishment could be better managed. This is purely a reflection of poor management and training. Staff, especially the ones that greet customers, shouldn’t lie or argue with customers. A simple “I’m sorry and will make sure you have the next table” would have solved all the problems. Instead it’s a lie and deflecting blame back onto the customer and then further disrespecting the customer by adding them back in line. Even if she was confused as to how to handle the situation, simply saying “I’m sorry but let me get my manager” can diffuse a situation. This all comes down to training. We weren’t looking for anything but the common respect that any customer deserves. Who we are is a reflection of how we were raised and how we are guided by the leaders that influence us.The only thing I want from this is management to do their job and train the girl at the front. She deserves that as an employee. Given the business’s reply, I am satisfied if they follow through.*I have edited this for clarification and changed the rating on the food and service based on the waitress, food, and atmosphere which is inline with most customers.“
“The breakfast burritos did not disappoint. The "regular" size burritos come in a good portion size and the ingredients were well distributed. I can't really nitpick anything about the burrito. My favorite thing probably has to be that the tortillas taste homemade.“

Although we were seated immediately, it took 15 minutes for someone to visit our table. That person said, "Your server will be right with you," and we waited longer for the server to arrive. During that time, only one other party was dining there, and another party came in. We witnessed the party stand there for 7 minutes ungreeted before they left. By 4:30, the staff became more attentive.If you are transitioning shifts or taking breaks during this hour, please reevaluate how you manage that transition.I've been dining at Boca since they were a small building on Speedway. The atmosphere looks fancier now, but the menu is harder to read because the font is too light for a dark restaurant.“

“This was the best food I’ve had in Tucson, I’m not a vegan, and this is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying this place out. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Just give it a shot, I’m not even close to worried whether or not you’ll love it.“
