The Mendez Bakery is fabulous. Immediately after you enter you are enticed by the wonderful aromas. All is so fresh and delicious. We loved everything, especially the pan dulce, the marble cake, and the cinnamon rolls. Can't wait to go back.

Loved this neighborhood bakery and its very nice owner. His pride in the delicious offerings are well-founded. We walked in and the aromas were mouthwatering. We were so excited to have warm yummy freshly made tortillas and authentic Mexican pastries. Try this place! It’ll be your new favorite.

Wonderfully fresh tortillas! Try the cochitos, they are a favorite with our family. The Mendez family are always so welcoming and are great bakers!

The bread was so soft, flavorful and fresh even after a 30 minute drive. The owner came out and was so kind and helpful! Hands down better than anywhere I had in California, it's like they all have the same flavor but this bakery taste like it's a family recipe. Thank you! Just on vacation.

I was really looking forward to LeCaves famous potato batter glazed doughnuts, only to find that its no longer LeCaves!! WHAT?!?!? When the hell did that happen?!?!?So I shook off my initial shock off and went in only to find that they hadn't made ANY doughnuts!! It was already 8am!! Shouldn't they start making them at like 2am?!?!So as not to completely throw this place under the bus, I ended up picking up a dozen Mexican pastries i.e. pinapple, apple, and raspberry empanadas, cream cheese rollitos topped with almond slivers which were all flaky and tasty.

A great bakery with great folks running it and a great selection of pan, dulces, mucho pastelles, tortillas - all fresh and delicious at a reasonable cost - everyday! Just south of Santa Cruz Church on 6th Ave in So. Tucson. I take #18 bus from Ronstadt Center DT every chance I get. Easy ride and well worth it. Highly recommended. A hidden gem and a Blessing to Santa Rita Community. Gracias a todos!
