My husband and I came here for a date night on a Thursday and it was pretty busy. It seems like a lovely, family oriented place with cheerful staff. The menu says that most of their dishes can be made gluten free. When I told the cashier I'd like to order gluten free she rushed back to "see if they have any pasta, otherwise it would take 30 minutes". Lucky for me they were good to go. I took it as they have a separate pot to boil the noodles. I ordered the Creamy Truffle Tuscany Pasta and it was soooo good. It was rich and the portions were large (my husband ordered the Baked Ziti, not gluten free and he loved his as well). The noodles were amazing. A lot of times gf noodles are chewy or taste like cardboard. Not this place! They were soft and reminded me of handmade, doughy gluten pasta. I didn't have a reaction! I'm so excited to have a yummy Italian place on the east side that seems pretty safe!

This place is very welcoming and the staff is so great with everyone. The food is extremely delicious and not greasy like other Italian places I've been to. The ambiance is very mixed but it does give that family vibe. Highly recommend keeping group sizes to a max of 4 since the place doesn't have much space. There is counter top seating but I'm sure you'd like to sit sitting everyone's faces. Having come from out of town, this place is a must go to when you're looking for a good Italian spot!!!! If you want to make it a date, think of it as something more casual with your s/o.

Vivere la vita di un italiano! This was not our first choice for lunch but the 3 other places we went to were a bust. What a lucky find! Honestly, this place is close to perfection. From the service, selection, cleanliness and ambiance, down to- and most especially- the food... imagine dining al fresco enjoying the sun and sounds of the world. Jason, you are a sweetheart. I forgot to get the lady's name but she's equally lovable. Nate- I'm speechless. I took photos because words aren't enough. One of the (if not the) best Italian place(s) I've ever been to in Tucson. Savor the photos.

Food is great an authentic! Service is very personal and warm. Ambiance is very relaxed and quaint. Sadly the military discount is no more. So sad.

The place is no frills atmosphere but the food is amazing! It's also not in the most convenient location, however, worth the drive.

Got the grilled prosciutto chicken sandwich, was amazing, would recommend. Sandwiches are sizable and the garlic bread is great

Love love the garlic bread! Also, fantastic service and food. The portions are huge! We also liked that it was BYOB and its conveniently right by a grocery store.

Picked up a cheesesteak today. It was soooo greasy that I had to eat it open face style. Struggled to eat the first half, and then gave up bc the heavy grease made me queasy! Sad to throw out half of the sandwich when it already costs so much! And, the flavor was sub par.

I never leave reviews, but I cannot stay quiet on this one. Disgusting. This place is not sanitary. The food is okay for Tucson "Italian", although I have experienced better and far more authentic Italian food in Tucson. I can tell they do not use fresh ingredients for their marinara. And that is not even the worst part, this place is roach and rat-infested. It cannot be safe for anyone to eat at this establishment. When I was sitting at my table I saw a roach go and hide in the crevice of the tile. They also had mice or rat droppings on the floor. Also when I visited the owner was quite obviously drunk. She wreaked of alcohol. And she was acting like someone who was inebriated. I am honestly shocked they passed any health inspections. Even if the food was spectacular I could not bring myself to come back somewhere that has so many containments. It will probably be a long time before I can bring myself to go eat at a restaurant after this. This moment in my life ruined restaurants for me for a while. This experience is one I hope no one has to go through, at 20+ dollars an entree, I expect better upkeeping standards. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. This place is gonna get people sick! I am upset I did not take pictures of this germ-infested experience, but I did have to speak out and let the public know.

What can I say about Nate's? Great food, HUGE portions. Very good value. You can easily split an entree or take home leftovers for another meal. The entrees are around $20 each, but good value considering you can get 2 or more meals out of it. The atmosphere is quaint and small. But relatively comfortable. My husband complains that it's always too hot in there. I've never seen a line to be seated, but is always at least semi busy. I think if this place advertised more, it would be much more busy. As is, it is located in the Fry's Plaza at Golf Links and Kolb. Not a big sign. Near Little Caesar's pizza. One of our favorite places for traditional Italian fare.

Delicious food and super friendly staff! This was our first visit and the four of us ordered the Cajun pasta with chicken, eggplant parmesan, baked ziti, and shrimp scampi special. Everything was excellent! We took home leftovers that easily will be enough for dinner tomorrow night. Will definitely be back!

We had the lasagna and the chicken Parmesan. Both were excellent and the sizes were plentiful. A busy little place and the staff was very friendly.
