Food has been disappointing the last 3 times I’ve eaten here, would much rather prefer tacobell across the street or another

Stopped by the other day for lunch. Had not been here for a couple of years. I was very much surprised at the new renovations. Place looked really good. My wife and I used to frequent TTT restaurant regularly but stopped when the food quality went down hill. We decided to take a chance and see if the food had improved. My wife had the fish and chips and I had a bacon cheeseburger. The fish and chips were lacking. Too much breading, was overcooked and not enough fish. Plus coleslaw and toast was missing. The bacon cheeseburger I had was ok but nothing to write home about. On the plus side, both dishes came with a large quantity of steak fries. Prices were really high for the quality of food delivered. TTT Hi-Way Chef Restaurant used to be a run down truck stop restaurant with cheap good food. Now it looks really good with expensive mediocre food.

Not what it used to be. It used to be an actual restaurant where you go in, sit down, and have a full menu to choose from. Now there's like 22 items total. Not what it used to be.

Editing a 5 star review to a 1 star.I have been coming here since I was a kid. It has been amazing until recently. They have new owners or investors who changed everything, from who they get their food through to how the business is run. With the changes has been a MASSIVE decline in how the food has been. The chicken Parmesan has been so bad the last few visits my husband and I changed what we order and tried the chicken Chimi enchilada style and the enchilada and taco dinner. The center of the Chimi was cold when it hit the table. The cheese in the enchiladas were not even fully melted and the enchilada sauce tasted burnt. The waitresses have always been hit and miss how pleasant they are but this last time she barely spoke to us or the tables around us until something was brought to her attention. When I mentioned the issues with the food she was kind enough to inform us mid March they are getting a new menu, as if that makes up for the poor food. I won't be coming back to try it. Nor will I be recommending this place to everyone I know anymore. I seriously hope the correct people see this review and get this fixed, truckers and locals deserve better.

Hey... it's a truckers diner. So, you know what to expect. Food is fine, but if you ask for any variation from the norm, don't expect to necessarily get what you actually wanted. I asked for my fries "extra crispy" and they came out "regular." So, it was a slight disappointment, but not a barn burner. Another in our party got the 1/2 sandwich, soup, and salad... really liked the combo and provided to be a decent serving. Also, a Hispanic family was there with 5 kids. So, THEY certainly like the place. My "star" rating summarizes our experience.Kid-friendliness: Based upon the Hispanic family that was there with 5 kids, the diner clearly accommodates kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see any obstructions to access.

I'm not really impressed with the food other than the shredded beef burritos, had a rude server last time we ate there, so, it's not high on our places to dine out list, we'd rather go to Pilot across the street!Parking: Plenty of parking, all I can say.

If you are in search of the world's worst hash browns , this would be a good place to start. Add cold coffee and terrible service and there you go.

If it's late night in Tucson Arizona and you are looking for dining options I highly recommend Hi Way Chef! Located in the triple t truck stop it is a ways out of town but is worth the journey. They have a wide array of menu items. I had a breakfast burrito that was very good but looking at the food other customers ordered everything looked good. Our server was nice and the atmosphere was comfortable.

We ordered two pulled pork hot sandwiches and two sundaes online and picked up our food. The cashier and manager knew nothing about our online order. The kitchen did and had our sandwiches done on time. When they were brought out to my husband, he asked about the Sundaes. The manager didn't bother to check our online order. We received two foam coffee sized cups with soupy ice cream and a tablespoon of chocolate, no whipped cream or nuts. They need to look at their menu to see what they should look like. I paid $13 for the desserts shown on the menu. The sandwiches were okay but the food is nothing like it was when Omar was there. Very disappointing because this was a Valentines Day date.

Food was generally awful. Waitresses overwhelmed with hardly any tables filled. One table was propped up with 2 piles of napkins. Still tipped 20%. New cook needed. Never order enchiladas, disgusting cheese and red sauce, dried out rice.

This place is a very convenient food place right off the highway. I heard so many great things about this place so I went and tried their food. And honestly everything came out looking like the middle school cafeteria. I don't know. They probably had a bad day the day I came in, but the food was not great at all.
