We stopped for breakfast this morning and had Sweet Potato Hash and Chicken and Waffles. Food was excellent! Service was great. The only disappointment was the coffee, just hot brown water...

Just came back from lunch at this place. This is our second time dining in Prep & Pastry, and we've joined their mailing list a while back, but, except for some occasional promotional emails, never got a single offer, even though they claimed they have specials for birthdays and such. We were in the area and decided to go to this location for lunch, even though we didn't enjoy it the first time either, because of bad service and steep prices, but this time it was convenient because we were right in the area. They were open until 3pm and even though we arrived at 1:45 the only pastry they had behind the glass at the kitchen counter were a few scones (only one was still on top of the cake stand, the other two were knocked off and just laying flat on the dirty counter) and two apple pastries. I asked how much they were, waitress replied "$5.30", but when I asked our waiter again he said "no, they are $6". My husband ordered shakshuka (turned out to be not as nearly as good as the one we make at home), I ordered duck with potatoes (very little of the duck, mostly potatoes, small serving too). My husband's dish included a small thin piece of sourdough, he asked our waiter (who, although cordial, didn't look too happy to be serving us) for some more sourdough and about 5-7 min later the waiter finally brought 1.50 thin piece of the bread (for which we received an extra charge later, which said it included jam, which of course wasn't there). Tables and chairs were dirty (outside), overall atmosphere wasn't too welcoming, everything looked kind of sad...We should've stuck with our original plan to go to First Watch, where we always have offers, specials and discounts, not to mention a much better and less pretentious atmosphere and certainly better (and cheaper) food. Will not be coming back and I advise you not to. (BTW, they don't care about bad reviews, because there is not a single response from them on these reviews)

My son and daughter in law brought us here for breakfast after we arrived hungry and tired in Tucson. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. The menu is interesting and the food was fine, but it was missing a little something, I wanted to love it, but just liked it.

Overall I thought the quality of the food was good. Someone in my group had french toast with blueberries. For some reason the chef put Rosemary in the blueberry compote which is a very odd flavoring. That was not on the menu. When chefs decide to do funky stuff with traditional dishes they should make the customer aware of that on the menu.

I haven't been here in a while, and I was meeting friends for breakfast, and in the hour that we were there, the amount of rudeness of our waiter Ryan was sad. I asked a question. I got a look of frustration with an answer of sas the way he tossed the check to my friend was dirty. I saw him smiling and being friendly with every other table except ours. Any other server that came over was super kind and polite. I got the wrong french toast. I guess that was my punishment for asking for a side of bacon. idk. Then, to the couple of guess that wanted to move tables because they felt offended that we talked too much and that my friends are bilingual, you suck ?. I appreciate you moving rather than being harassing. I personally wouldn't recommend or be back. I miss the old setup on Campbell that felt like it was for everyone.

We had brunch today here and the whole experience was a very positive one. The service was excellent, it’s was Sunday and the restaurant was busy but nonetheless they had us sitting down in less than 5 mins. I ordered the Poblano and Carnitas Benedict and it was delicious, the biscuits are made in house and the carnitas were crispy just like I like them, it came with roasted skin on baby potatoes that were crunchy and delicious too.Definitely a place we will be visiting again soon. Thanks!

The food and drinks were very good, picked "The Cure French Toast" definitely served differently than what other posters have had but was delicious.

Weird combination or good food and neglectful waitstaff. No check back after orders were delivered. No offer of coffee refill. Who runs this joint? You aren't very good at your job. Pay attention. Oh, I see. That's the problem.
