Food was amazing! Every plate we tried was full of flavor, the service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the horchatas were the best I've ever had!

I've dined in twice now and the first time I ordered their birria plate which was decent but not great. I have to remind myself that getting great Mexican foot is very difficult in Tucson despite what I would expect. I asked my server what their best dish was and she said it was their carne asada platter. A great carne asada platter is something I've been dying to find anywhere. So I came back a second time. They messed up my order and brought me asada fajitas. As the server was placing the cast iron plate down she acknowledged she was sure this was what I ordered and wanted to confirm. After you already set the plate down?? I told her it was fine and that I would try their fajitas. The onions and peppers where way too thinly cut and were not appealing. The meat was fine considering it's what I expect from most casual Mexican restaurants. Thin cuts 'warmed' on a flat cooking surface. Not flame grilled nor seared for a nice cut. Can't imagine their asada plate is any different. I may try it one more time to be sure. It is great that they seem to cook everything fresh but from experience, just because you cook it fresh every day being a scratch kitchen doesn't guarantee quality or taste.

Solid mediocre. We got tacos and a machete, not bad but totally uninspiring, bland with so so quality ingredients. Just another kitschy Caucasianized overpriced faux Mexican joint.Won't return and do not recommend, don't understand the high ratings ?

Highly recommended by some family members earlier today, we decided to try it! They were right; very good. Clean establishment, friendly staff, delicious and fresh food, convenient salsa bar. I think we'll all be back :) Telling the rest of our family about it, too! Give 'em a shot. It's worth it ;)

My daughter-in-law and I were looking for a bacon wrapped burrito, and this place was on our route and got very good reviews. While you can get bacon in your burrito, if you want it wrapped, you instead buy one of their percherones, the house specialty, which is essentially a burrito made with an even bigger flour tortilla. There are seven options, and we went with the chicken chipotle. OMG it was good! It felt like ordering bacon with a side of bacon, which for most Americans is a good thing. They wrap it completely in five strips of bacon and then deep fry it. It is not at all greasy and the bacon is perfectly cooked. There are all these videos on YouTube about the best way to cook bacon (e.g., bake, broil, fry with water in pan, etc.), but this is the best. Of course I am never going to set up a deep fryer just to cook bacon, so I will be back. I also ordered a chiles rellenos plate because that's my general test to see if I like a Mexican restaurant, and they were very good, but not on the same level. The percheron would have been plenty for two. I can't remember which type of agua fresca my daughter-in-law got, but it was very good, and I had cerveza.

I can't believe they aren't packed and busy. Tuesday night, and the weather is so so. Service is friendly and professional , the food is delicious and fresh, salsa bar is fresh and spotless. I'll tell everyone how much I like this place.

I enjoyed supper at Salsa Verde yesterday, and ordered one of my favorites - chicken mole. The chicken was cooked just enough, and the chili was hot enough to remind me I was enjoying Mexican food without overwhelming the delicious chocolate flavor. The waitress was cheerful and attentive.

Bet I've driven by this place hundreds of times without noticing it. After the 2nd Sunday Vintage Market we were looking for a Mexican breakfast and thought we'd try Salsa Verde...so glad we did ! The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. We'll sure be back !

The salsa and accompaniment bar was amazing, especially the pickled red onions. The street tacos were delish as were the crispy tacos.
