Never felt more discrimination for being a woman/lesbian than I did when I came here. Bartender was decent, but ignored the extremely rude comments from the male patron at the bar when we ordered. Even owner seemed annoyed. we had one drink and left to go to Brodie's and IBTS instead, where we could go and celebrate WITH family, LIKE family. Never went back. which is unfortunate, because the back bar and outside area was nice. What a bummer.

Bar tender was so rude and condescending to me and my friend and when I finally addressed him for being so nasty to us and it being my first and my friends second time there it was totally unprofessional. The bar tender was trashed charged me $22 to get $20. Then after saying to him your being condescending and rude for no reason you claim you've been doing this for 25 years then why can't you answer my friend and what brand and flavors of vodka do you have?...he then takes our drinks and asks us to leave gives me only $18 of my $22 he charged me.I don't know why he was so nasty to me and my friend but a group of 10 of my friends from NJ were gonna meet us there but instead we went to BRODIES so much better and way nicer staff I will never return to this porta potty smelling establishment ever again!

My first time and my friends second time there and the minute we entered the bar tender was so rude and condescending to us. He wouldn't give us the brands of vodka and continued to tell us he has been doing this for 25 years and we're not gonna win! And told us it was gonna cost extra to go on the patio and continued being condescending to the point I had to say something like why are you being so rude to us if you have been doing this for 25 years why can't you answer my friends question about what vodkas you have? So he takes our drinks dumps them and gives me back $18 of the $22 he charged me and kicked us out. He was obliterated drunk so unprofessional I will never go here again it smells like a porta potty and I will be calling the owner in the morning!

I must’ve waited for about 7 minutes at least to get a beer before someone else who had immediately shown up for served. Service is usually slow, on this is night, which wasn’t busier than the usual nights I’ve to, was much slower.

Quaint little gay bar in a residential neighborhood. I was there on a weeknight, and the place was almost empty. But the bartenders were super nice. Only caveat: they only take cash. So you have to swipe your card and they do this weird thing where you pay them for drinks.
I have never found Venture a particularly friendly bar, from a staff perspective. But tonight was a new low!! There were 5, 6 people at the bar, and a few more by the pool table. The bartender was chatting with a patron when I walked up to the bar. I stood for a couple of minutes, never being acknowledged. The bar back joined him and they started a conversation, after seemingly looking in my direction but still not seeing me, I guess. They chatted for another minute or 2 and then walked together outside, with me still standing without a drink or even being recognized. I walked outside to see if there was a bar open outside, which there wasn't! So after wasting 5 minutes, I left without having the opportunity to even order a drink. It will be awhile before I give them another chance!! Terrible experience!!

I went here for the first time recently, Dan is so sweet and makes delicious drinks. I loved the decor and the pool table. I'm bringing my friends with me next time!

Very friendly bartender: Amy. Low key crowd but a Thursday night. Great outdoor patio...not too busy, 60 degrees. Great price on beer( small pitcher $6.00. Friendly locals to a newbie.
