Small place that serves authentic carnitas, absolutely delicious. The taste was one I remembered from the old Carnitas place in Imperial Beach, crispy and yummy.

My co worker and I had to drive to Yuma from Tucson to drop off a patient at a CBI facility. We were starving and found Carnitas El Taste. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it was very colorful. The young lady serving us was very sweet and the food was absolutely amazing. Prices matched. Would suggest!!

Food was good only issue we had was they told us they didn't have any chips but everyone around us got chips. We didn't need chips but it would have been nice. Had to ask for salsa it was hot and good. Pico was cabbage. Gave 3 stars for being told no chips Service was good

We've eaten here four times this month, and haven't been disappointed yet. The first evening we went for chile rellenos, and they were sold out. We settled for the carnitas plate. The meat was delicious, and served with very good refried beans and rice. We've had both the corn and flour tortillas, and they're both homemade and excellent. We went back for rellenos, and they're excellent. Deep fried in an egg batter and served with a tasty tomato pepper sauce. Friendly, if somewhat absent service and a decent margarita. Great place.

Sorry, but the carnitas here lack flavor, freshness, just not very good. I've tried it twice, and both times I left, wishing it had tasted better.

Yesterday my husband and I went to dinner here, there was one couple and then they left and we were the only ones dining.We both got sick.
Birria is amazing, and I love everything is made on location, including the agua frescas!

We moved here to Yuma almost 3 yrs ago, el taste was the first Mexican restaurant we tried, we’ve never been disappointed since, its our go to place after church on Sunday!! Great food and good service!!

How did I not know about this hidden gem?!?! I was leaving Cal Ranch and decided to stop in. The extremely sweet hostess/server told me about the today's special that wasn't on the menu. It had carnitas (the ?), rice, the best beans in Yuma, the cabbage mix, lemon, plenty of excellent salsa, and last but never least...the HOT HOMEMADE ? 10 flour & 10 corn tortillas. It was a family pack for $40. Hands down, ✋️ I swear...the best place in Yuma. One of their "regulars" said they have the best chile rellenos in town too. I'll have to try that for myself next week. I'll be a "regular" for now on!! I have leftovers for 2 days! If you close your eyes, you can almost picture yourself at your best friends Nana's kitchen. Amazing!!
