I've been spreading a good word about this restaurant for its food and service despite the unfavorable atmosphere as a frequent customer. However,I think I need to take the word back from all my people around; the foods were not consistently the same good way. Today, they were pretty disappointing, with a few vital ingredients missed and the size smaller. I don't like a restaurant goes this way at all! They can raise the price if necessary, but the same dishes I've almost always ordered were very different all of a sudden in a bad way, which is truly disappointing, unpleasant, and sort of betrayal-like to the customer's expectation of the routine of the dishes.Nevertheless, the server was very empathetic, kind, and polite!I probably won't go back there again at least for some time.I now feel a little saddened because I lost one of my favorite restaurants while the restaurant lost one good customer and also, likely those who have heard all my good words about it so far.

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday 24 March 2024. It was not busy. Waitress was really good and the cook was fantastic, bartender needs a little more training. I highly recommend this

Went for dinner. The place is too dark. Can't see what you're eating and judging by the food I think the kitchen is cooking in the dark too. The beef Wagyu dumplings probably came from a frozen bag of T&T dumplings. The Caesar salad was a pile of a romaine with no sauce or croutons and we were charged 5$ extra to substitute the salad. The burger was overpriced I'd rather be eating an A and W teen burger. Server was nice but not very attentive. Had to wait ten minutes before she came back around to send the salad back. Other than the decor which you can't really see cause it's dark....this place needs a reboot. Below Average food for extraordinary prices.

My Caesar salad looked like it sat out in the sun for 6 hours on a hot day the blackened chicken was dried out chunks, the atmosphere is nice great server.Kid-friendliness: I imagine there are better options in Abbotsford.

One of our favorite spots to eat whenever we're in Abbotsford. The staff and food are always incredible! Our waitress Danika was so sweet, she one top of clearing away dishes and drinks were refilled once empty. The food came out in a timely manner minus a small wait for chicken wings. The chef gave us a small appetizer as an apology which was also incredible. This place is always a 10/10 and we are never disappointed ❤️Kid-friendliness: Nice short and sweet kids menu with all of the classic favorites. Nice spacious booths were great for our wiggly four year old and our baby in her infant carseat.

Always great food, drinks and service. We had oysters and potato buns as an appy, then my husband had the chicken bowl, I had the salmon bowl and my daughter had the seafood chop salad. All meals were delicious, colourful, fresh and filling. We never have room for dessert.

Everything was great. The waiter was fantastic. Yes it is a bit dark. But that will not effect my 5 star

Dark atmosphere. Too dark to read menu. Bench seat torn at table beside us. Food is overpriced and subpar. Will not go or recommend S & L to anyone.

Service was great up until it came to dessert. We waited and waited for someone to come by. Had to wave someone down as it seems like all the workers there are either running around or hanging out in the kitchen area. Food wasn't that great. Lobster roll was mostly bread. The burger was good. Flat iron steak was ok a little chewy but cooked perfectly. I had the Valentine's feature. Guac was excellent. The crab was underwhelming and the berry crumble was ok. For the price we paid we would have expected more for what we got overall. The background music was way to loud. It makes the environment very chaotic having to yell with our group. NOT relaxing at all. Live music was nice but again it was too loud. It's suppose to be a relaxing night out with friends not a concert.

Our Valentine dinner was wonderful because of our amazing server, Kianna. She was attentive, quick and very sweet. We both had the special and it was cooked how we ordered. Although it was cold we enjoyed it.

Well? What a disappointing Valentines night out is all we can say ! We were looking forward to S&L's usual good food and service. But last night, something was definitely off with everyone. It started out with a bottle of Prosecco not being available. No one could foresee the possible popularity of Prosecco for Valentines Day? As I like Rose and my husband likes red, we decided to each get our own bottle only to be told that was against the law because no one person was allowed to have more than 3oz of liquor at a time. What? So we got one bottle of Rose and my husband ordered a Crown Royal. So I sat with my “no more than 3oz of liquor rule” and my bottle of Rose. I chose from the set menu and hubby had the steak tenderloin meal. Half of his meat was grissle and his meal ended up being taken off our bill after chatting with the Manager. Back to the set menu.....No price on it and no proper explanation of what everything was. Your waitress had to waste time going through it all with me. I chose the guacamole starter with the lobster salad add on. The waiter brought me out the risotto balls. Oops....back to clarifying my order with our waitress. There was no lobster salad on my guacamole, so that was taken off the bill. We waited almost an hour for our meal, which wasn't close to being hot when it was served. We were told the kitchen was “busy”. Because of the number of open tables throughout our stay, I seriously doubt that. And again, who doesn't plan their staff properly for a special occasion night? The sirloin steak 6oz I ordered was more like 4 oz and the scanty portions of everything was just odd looking. Lucky I had the guacamole and chips, minus the lobster salad, or else I would have gone home hungry. After speaking to the manager and getting our bill adjusted we decided we just wanted to go home, so I asked for my dessert to go. And that only resulted in asking the manager to help because of the wait for it. We weren't happy at all!

Service was average and would've expected better for the cost of dining at S&L. We are non-drinkers so felt ignored because of. Loved the music provided but it was too loud to converse over. I found the entrance door quite filthy, and the toilets dirty, and our table rocked badly. The waiter was going to fix it but he never did we just kept a foot on the leg to steady it. Disappointed for the price.

Seafood chop chop baby! The lobster chowder, pureed carrot, and potato gnocchi were the stars of this show.
