Food was really good here, and there was something special in each of the tapas. Their homemade mustard was amazing. The mackerel was perfectly done.Go by their advice on choosing 2 tapas per person. We got 5 for the two of us, but it was one too many.

We had an outstanding dinner experience at Barcelona’s on Friday evening. Delicious selection of tapas, congenial host and waitress, excellent cocktails and capped off with a wonderful dessert beverage called a “mini beer” . Most enjoyable experience.
We always love coming here when we visit Bowen Island. The owner and staff are always personable and attentive and the tapas are delicious. We love their popular eggplant tapa and there are so many others to choose from. There is a nice patio during the busy summer season and we enjoy the more intimate indoor dining experience in the off season. Service and food are always great regardless of season! Try a signature "mini beer" before you leave.

We were lucky to visit on the Paella Sunday, on which there would be a set menu comprising a tapa, a sharing paella, a dessert and a sangria for $47/48 per person. My husband and I chose a mushroom and a meatball tapas and shared the seafood paella. The food is delicious, especially the paella. We were told by the manager that the secret to it was the homemade seafood broth. It is a must try. Portion is good as well. The atmosphere is very cozy with some soft background music. Tables are fairly spaced out. We love everything about this restaurant.

They seated us quickly, but we were informed they were short staffed on a Friday night. We did not have a reservation. The app and main dish were very small, but good. IPA on draft was good, too. A bit pricey, but would recommend.

Came by a few weeks ago for dinner with family. If you're fortunate to be in a group, I definitely recommend running through the menu and trying it all. Or as much as you fancy. We loved the tapas. There were some fresh and interesting takes on what seemed like familiar foods. Beautiful setting with the outside sitting as well.
Ambiance was pleasant. We sat outside and ordered the recommended 3 tapas per person. The food was unimpressive: not bad.. just not that good. For example, the fried potatoes were good for kids but could have come from anywhere. I'd suggest going somewhere else, but kinda hard when you're stuck on an island...
