Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!

We came here for High Tea and were seated in the solarium area, which offered a delightful ambiance, especially on the rainy day. While the savory options were delicious, the desserts fell a bit short. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time overall and enjoyed most of the food. We'll definitely be returning for another visit.

I was hosting two friends from Australia and we all absolutely loved the afternoon tea experience. Booking was straight forward and when I needed to adjust our reservation so to our plans the staff was friendly and accommodating. We sat in the sunroom and it was chilly outside, but the sun streaming in during our team was amazing. Our stroll around the grounds was relaxing and beautiful. My only suggestion was if someone was coming in for the tea, offer a package deal so entry was not the full price. Still a five star experience and one I would recommend to to others

A wonderful setting for any celebration or anytime treat. The high tea features beautifully presented savouries, sandwiches and desserts, plus trifle and their ab fab signature scone, accompanied by generous pots of tea, always hot thanks to the insulated pots.

We went to celebrate a birthday. They gave us a beautiful table at the window. The food and tea were amazing. They were able to accommodate multiple dietary issues. Highly recommend. The gardens were beautiful.

Beautiful place with very good food. I would recomend it to anyone. The service was good and girls friendly. The kitchen was véry helpful in providing special food for one of our group who has food alergies.

The best gluten free tea of any I've ever had! The server was lovely, checked for allergies, explained what was on the tower and made sure our teapots were filled with hot water regularly. The dining room is beautiful and quiet, which lends itself for conversation and our table had a lovely view. We had such a lovely time!

We had a fantastic high tea at the Butchart Gardens dining room. My husband can't eat gluten (celiac disease) and the chef produced a superb gluten-free tea for him. It had all the same goodies as the wheat version except for one small savory item. Unbelievably good gluten-free bread, pie crust, cakes, and puff pastry!

We had a lovely high tea. I had gluten free and my husband dairy free. It is a bit on the expensive side. I do appreciate how quiet and pretty the surroundings are. Our server Natalie was just great!

Pilar was our server. She had a great attitude and was warm and hospitable. She definitely made our experience very special by taking photos of and with us and by explaining the food and teas very well. We would very much like to return and we hope that others have a similar experience. You should give Pilar a raise and definitely share this with her and the rest of your staff! Annelise and Jason

Our waiter was amazing and super kind. The food itself was really bland and underwhelming. The sandwiches were soggy and hardly any filling. The desserts were overall sweet and lacked flavor. I honestly was in tears when we left because I felt like I wasted over $100 for nothing. To add onto it, there was birthday part for a 3 year old sitting next to us. So what was supposed to be a romantic afternoon tea for our anniversary felt more like a kids place. It was loud and multiple times at least one kid was getting out of their seat. Overall I will never go back for high tea or take family members to it. It was horrible. Save your money and go the Fairmont instead. Again this all has to do with food and ambience. Our waiter was a gem and she was so kind. I didn't tell her how unsatisfied we were because there was literally nothing she could have done to help.

We enjoyed everything but the red lentil rolls were not very good. My kids especially didn't like them and I will try and remember that they are spicy and not noted as such on the menu. But overall, we had a lovely time.

My Sister & I went to Butchart Gardens on Sunday for their High Tea.. We got there abit earlier..then our scheduled time..We asked if they could accommodate us since we were early..The Hostess said for sure there was a table that we could sit at..Our waitress came really quickly to serve us..She was very knowledgeable on their High Tea tray..very attentive service while we were there..I highly recommend the High Tea at Butchart Gardens..

It was lovely! Everything was delicious and our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We went there for our anniversary and they were so thoughtful, offered to take our picture and even included a Happy Anniversary stamped prince of chocolate to our tray! Would highly recommend!

First class place to visit at anytime of the year but my favourite is Christmas time. A well run attraction and garden with courteous staff and always a great experience!
