Mediocre. Stale bun and dry meat. Onion rings were pretty good tho.

The food was great, soft homemade buns and fresh homemade patties. The customer service was excellent and friendly. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely eat here again! ?

The meat was very dry, I personally like juicy meat. Too bad I didn't find it in this place. I don't know how you like gravy, but this doesn't look good. I would recommend looking at other places and looking for a good burger.

The first thing I would like to address is that it's a very unique place and does fit the 50s theme. Otherwise, I will be talking about my experiences and will base my rating on the 3 categories (food, service, environment/atmosphere)When walking into the restaurant, it was very tight and compact. No more than 6-7 people can fit inside, hence the seats outside and behind the restaurant. Restaurant holds the 50s theme inside and uses an old milkshake mixing machine, which was a nice touch. No washroom available, so make sure you have something to clean your hands with.Service was neutral, nothing much to talk about. We order, wait, get the food, and eat. Honestly, it doesn't make a memorable experience, but my expectations weren't high. The food, however, impressed me. Thick cut grandma fries were alright, and some don't maintain crispness for a long period of time. The LA burger, on the other hand, was very nice. Housemade bun held all the ingredients together and did not crumble. The patty was nicely seasoned and had the grill char flavor. The mushrooms, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes combined nicely offer a perfectly balanced burger. One tiny gripe I had was that my burger had more mustard than anticipated. When it came down to the milkshake, I was thoroughly impressed. Perfect balance of sweetness, and you can taste the ice cream, milk, and then the strawberry. Simply amazing! Before I left, I decided to try the bulldog. It was alright, but bun held everything together but proved to be messy to consume. The amount of mustard added was again too much, and other than the sausage (which was nice and had a nice slight char smoky flavor and the casing pops) was all I tasted. I'm not too impressed with it compared to the burger.Overall, it's an impressive burger spot and definitely hits the spot if you are looking for a quality burger. Probably would recommend eating on an outside table, bringing your own hand wipes, and don't expect an amazing customer service from the establishment. Would definitely come back if im passing by Burnaby and craving a burger and milkshake. Would recommend to friends and family!

I ordered the chili dog with fries and gravy. The chili is vegetarian. I don't know who orders the beef dog and then wants vegetarian chili. They didn't warn me that it was a vegetarian chili either. It had the consistency of more of a bean stew so it didn't go over the dog at all. It was more like a side dish so it wasn't really a chilli dog. It had virtually no flavor as well. A chili dog should be a dog covered in chili covered in cheese. This was a dog covered in cheese with a flavorless non chili on the side. Also, the dog didn't seem to be a high quality beef dog. It might be. It just didn't have that taste. I've eaten there before and while the burgers themselves tend to be quite good. If you go beyond, lettuce onions, cheese and mushrooms. The toppings tend to be lackluster

I haven't been to this drive-thru Hamberger stand in a few years, but I was close by, so I went in because I was craving a good burger. The service was great, and the old shack of a building gives a unique atmosphere with a real roadside burger stand feel, but sadly, the food was not as good as I remembered. The burger was just ok, not amazing. The onion rings were good, and the milk shake didn't disappoint. Overall, it was ok.

Unfortunately the burger I had recently left me disappointed. Burger Patty was too thin and was dry, overcooked and lacking flavor. I ate here a few years ago and was delicious, this latest visit did not match my expectations at all.

Disgusting burgers , stale buns, over cooked meat. I Paid almost 20$ for two milkshakes and did not receive them . In a city with no shortage of burger option hightly suggest you leave this one in the 50s where it belongs. SKIP! The milkshakes might be good but I have no way knowing.
