Decor is of the older euro style so if you like that, you would enjoy the decor. Lots of old timers frequenting this place.Balkan platter was delicious although slightly on the pricier side with the price increase even with the current inflation.Schnitzel portion was good as well but the fry is a little bit crisper than I would have liked.Decent service and not hovering which is always much appreciated.Parking: Back of the restaurant

Looking for a Balkan spot in Metro Vancouver and found it! Order the cevapi. I would say they are comparable to the ones in Bosnia and Serbia. Great service and friendly welcoming atmosphere. We had the blueberry cheesecake and krem pita (puff custard cream pastry) for dessert. So yum! Will definitely be back!
The food was simply amazing. I'd never eaten Balkan food until a colleague invited me to have lunch with him here. This is the cuisine from his homeland, and it was worth the visit. The family that runs the Balkan House is on-site and quite friendly. They make sure the customer is satisfied with good-size portions and quality, fresh foods. (All at a fair price)I'd go back again, and have recommended to several people as a place that is a must-visit for authentic food.

Food was good! Had chicken skewer, greek salad, roasted red pepper. When the server served us, she told us she was so busy, we felt almost as though we were an inconvenience. She was by herself however and she did have a large table. Would be interested in coming back for buffet.

After the death of the previous owner, this restaurant fell into disrepair. You are greeted by the musty smell of old age and a feeling of depression. There is a smell of urine in the toilet. The meat dishes were ok, but the dessert was clearly spoiled. The waiter is like a sleepy fly. The restaurant needs renovation and good management. Big disappointment.
