Rating is only for food, ordered for delivery.I was so excited since there's a Burnaby location now, but I am quite disappointed with this location's Truffled Mushroom Udon. I've gotten it many times before from the downtown location. There's a huge difference between them. It did not look like the picture at all or what you would normally get at the downtown location.Burnaby's version is bland, barely any truffle flavour, it came with a fried egg instead of the sous vide/"onsen" egg, and only came with a small amount of mushrooms, no other garnishes/toppings.

Visited on weekday afternoon for a simple lunch with my friend. We were curious about this small and clean restaurant and the menu on the window shelf looks tempting. So we decided to give it a try. And we weren't disappointed!Ordered the BC Beef Burger & Beyond Meat Burger, the ingredients taste fresh and flavourful. Except the buns of the burger were a little bit dry, says my friend. the patty was juicy and the seasoning was great, not too salty so we can taste the original flavour of the ingredients.We absolutely love the fries, it's crispy on the outside but tender and soft when biting down, and it's freshly made so it's still warm after we finished the burger. The ketchup and tartar sauce might be homemade I'm not sure, but it definitely tastes different than the commercial one. Usually I don't use too much ketchup for the fries, but I finished all the ketchup that day.Would like to visit again soon, cause I want to try out some other things on the menu.

I ordered an avocado-me egg breakfast sandwich and a soy matcha latte. I was pleasantly surprised! The sandwich was loaded with a layer of soft avocado, scrambled eggs and a slice of cheese. I really liked the texture and the taste. The bread was fresh and lightly toasted :) would definitely recommend!The matcha latte was very good too! I could actually taste the matcha and see the some matcha powder on the bottom. As a matcha drinker I would get this again.

This is the worst food experience I’ve ever had in Vancouver. I got the prawn egg and truffle mushroom sandwich. both which looked nothing as advertised. The sandwiches were so small and the shrimp was cold! Ugh they didn’t add the sauces and the bottom half of the sandwiches were just bread barely even filled at the top. So disappointing will never come here again. Truly shocking.
Good little concept but unapologetic owner. We love supporting small businesses so really wanted to try and support this new place. We ordered 4 egg sandwiches, 3 of them had pet hair in the food. Showed it to the owner all she had to say was she is allergic to dogs.Sadly, there is more. They have these small aesthetic chairs which kept on falling when we would get up to grab ourselves cutlery and water. In the end, my partner had the worst possible fall and injured her back. Owner did not even bothered asking if we were okay. When we gave them feedback they should probably switch the chairs she just said ok ok.After the fall and repeated hair issue order after order it is a ‘NO GO’ for us.

visited Bread X Butter Cafe in Burnaby on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, and my experience was quite average. The service was decent, nothing exceptional, and the food was fairly average as well. What disappointed me was the lackluster atmosphere, as the cafe was mostly empty.Overall, it was an okay experience, but there was nothing special or remarkable about it. If you’re looking for a place to grab a quick bite, it might suffice, but don’t expect anything out of the ordinary.
