Much much better now than when it first opened years ago .. staff are very friend and their systems are now in place … the single origin coffee they had (I am an Ethiopian coffee geek), Ethiopia ACACIA was very good and the peanut butter cookie :-) well done to the manager and staff .. give them a raise Mr. John Neate!

JJ is my favourite coffee shop in the area.I typically get an Americano, and it's flavourful with rich crema foam. They have soy, almond, and oat milk available on the counter for you to pour. Free of charge! Most places charge 75 cents to $1 for non-dairy options.Highly recommend the jalapeno cheddar muffin.Dietary restrictions: Soy, almond, and oat milk are available on the counter for no extra charge.

I've been going to the Burnaby Library and grabbing my latte from JJ Bean every weekend lately. Funny story: the first Saturday, I ordered my latte and paid a tip (even though it was takeout), and they made my coffee in a reasonable time. The next day, I wanted takeout again and didn't pay a tip. They didn't seem to care about my coffee. After 15 minutes, I asked about my order and was told they forgot it. They gave me a card for a free coffee next time. The following week, I showed the gift card and waited again for 15-20 minutes. I asked why, but got the same excuse that they forgot it (it was Saturday). The next week, I intentionally didn't pay a tip, and they once again didn't seem to care about my coffee, making me wait between 10-15 minutes.I don't understand why some workers see tips as a must. My question for these folks: would an engineer in a company expect a tip from a client? And my request to JJ Bean workers: do your job. If you're not happy with your salary, that job isn't for you. Leave the position for someone who will take care of business and respect customers. TIPPING IS NOT A MUST, ITS A FAVOR!

JJ Bean in Burnaby: A coffee lover's dream with unbeatable taste. Perfect for work or relaxation. Cozy ambiance makes every visit special. More than just coffee, it's an experience! But JJ Bean’s appeal doesn’t stop at coffee. Their muffins and snacks are a must-try. Baked fresh, they offer a perfect complement to your coffee. Whether you’re craving something sweet or savory, there’s always a delicious option waiting.

I have been in the evening around 6:20 and it was quite busy ! The place is cozy and filled with people who are with their own laptops and working with books etc.The place allows individuals to hang on for an hour or so and the staff were warm and welcoming, I ordered filtered slow drip coffee and chocolate banana bread and it’s good!

$4.40 is a wild price for a double espresso

I had ordered an iced americano to-go, and received a hot americano. When I brought this up to the cashier, all I got was an eye-roll and a 'got it'. The baristas proceeded to make everyone in the store's order before remaking my iced americano; the kicker being 3 of the 4 other orders were iced americanos. Food and drinks are always good but appalled at the service this time around.
