Delicious home style Korean food. Will definitely come again!

My first time ordering from here. Agree with the recent reviews that the food has poor quality. The pork bone soup had 2 pieces of bones and 2 pieces of potato. The soup tasted like it was flavoured with instant noodles seasoning. The beef patties were dry and bland. I would not order from here again.

I don't know if the owner has changed or the chef has changed, but all the food tastes have changed. My colleagues and I ordered various menus, but they were all bad. When we asked the server to recommend a menu, they recommended french fries. I thought there must be something special because it was recommended by a Korean restaurant, but when I received the food, it was just fried frozen fries sold at everywhere. It was a very disappointing experience and I have no intention of going here again. It's sad that Google Reviews don't have zero stars.

Used to be my go-to place for Korean food... sadly they changed their chef and menu. Now everything tastes bland. My Korean cold noodles tasted like noodles soaked in water with a dash of seasoning and vinegar. The marinated pork tasted like a flavorless piece of meat. I couldn't finish any of the food other than the side dishes. But the server was very nice though. +1 star for her.

So sad to see the place has changed! In the last three years, I used to eat here all the time, almost once every week in the winter for their pork bone soup. My cousin used to get the tofu soup with beef. Now they removed a few items from the menu, no more seafood pancake, only seafood option for the tofu soup, etc. I decided to still give it a try today, and the pork bone soup was just not good. Less veggies and meat in there, less flavorful and saltier, meat tasted not fresh and not cooked long enough. The saddest part was that the only 2 pieces of potatoes were raw, not cooked and still crunchy! Ugh disgusting. Side dishes have changed to only bean sprouts and some radish kimchi. No more sweet potatoes. Time to say goodbye, Jong Ga.

Too expensive for the food quality. Expect to pay $30+ per person

Used to be my go to place for Korean food until chef changed. Portions got smaller(still quite filling though), tastes of dishes definitely changed, they don't taste as good as they used to be in my opinion. Lady who's serving our table was very kind though.

There's a number of reasons why I'm giving this a 1 star.-quality of food and price.I don't know if the owners have changed or there's a new chef, but I went to eat very recently onMarch 6-7. It was a Dine-in. The new menu food was a shadow of the past. The old menu was 100x better and I don't know why the menu was changed but it was the biggest mistake and here's why.The food tasted like restaurant food refrigerated. The grilled patties used to be juicy packed with flavor. Now it just has the consistency of wet paper and bland taste which was one of the best orders of the place now reduced to dirt. Just by looking at glance you can tell it changed. The Tonkotsu was pretty good served with a side of rice and a small salad, but it wasn't filling.Tonkotsu usually has a lower price in the better restaurant that serves it in better quality. It may sound cheap, but when there's so many Japanese restaurant all over Burnaby and Vancouver that serve Tonkotsu. They serve it better and cheaper. The Takoyaki part of the New menu was good but way too Overpriced. You can go to any decent sushi restaurant and have Takoyaki the same but at half the price. One squid ball would not be worth more than half a dollar. 5 pieces - 7 dollars and not specific on the new menu.Me and my family used to be regulars to the restaurant remembering the taste and how everytime would surprise us with flavors making us come back for it. Now we are extremely disappointed almost not wanting to come back. It's like we just feel sorry for the place. The food now should be costing half of what it is. The quality is that poor now.The side dishes have changed. Every side dish got changed to the degrading quality. No sweet potato, no kimchi. Added cold bland pasta.-The place. The place lost it's environment. It's life. You don't want any modern trash hop music playing in the place. It doesn't match the current theme of the restaurant. It looks more run down than before.I tried to eat my meal in piece only to listen to music like blueberry faygo. Are you kidding me?The place used to inhibit a sort of home feeling.I get that people order on delivery all the time and sometimes you don't see a change but Dine-in has changed in the worst way and delivery might be worse from point on.Dear Jong Ga. This restaurant is a 'Korean Traditional' Restaurant. It used be our favorites to go to when we have the time. Now it doesn't seem traditional and it doesn't seem the same as the good reviews from a month ago. We might give it another chance if things overturn for the good.

Jong Ga, a delicate Korean eatery seemingly run by a female owner with a female kitchen helper, offers tasty Korean noodles in soup, rice in stone hot pot, and gourmet Korean cuisines. It’s a good place to start exploring Korean food culture with free refillable small side dishes of Kimchi, cucumber, sprouts, and sweet potato.

The best place ever! Authentic Korean restaurant! Most importantly yea today I dropped my left over box on their floor, not only the sweet lady didn’t get angry, she apologized for my loss and gave me a brand new fresh one to go! Cry~

Hidden gem. I've tried many Korean style tofu-soups before but this one stands out. Full of flavour and ingredients, also comes in a big portion. The side dishes are also very good (it matters haha). Let them know you want stone rice as soon as you can because it takes 15 minutes!

A small family owned restaurant with fair prices and great options! I love their ox knee soup and seafood pancake - their side dishes are delicious as well.
