During the Bite of Burnaby Contest period, we dined at MIDAM KOREAN BISTRO in Burnaby. For $65.00, we enjoyed their contest menu, which featured Stir-fried garlic sauce chicken on a UFO grill (a fun experience with incredibly juicy chicken), Assorted Fishcake Soup (the generous portion with plenty of fishcakes), rice, side dishes, and a delightful Korean-style Oreo Shaved Ice--Bingsoo 빙수 for dessert (a refreshing and melt-in-your-mouth treat). It was a flavorful journey that easily satisfied two people. In addition, we couldn't resist trying their Pan-fried Crispy Pork Belly on Creamy Rosé Pasta. We really enjoyed its uniqueness and the flavours. The ambiance at MIDAM KOREAN BISTRO is very relaxed. It boasts a spacious and trendy environment. The chefs really get creative with their dishes, offering a variety of casual and fusion Korean food. Yummy!??Food: ???? Should Try!Service: ?‍??‍??‍??‍?Kids: ???? Good casual Korean food and open late. My faves are the cheesy corn and the army sausage stew.

This is probably my favourite Korean restaurant in metro Vancouver. It’s great if you love grilled meats and spicy options.

The service was exceptional, with each dish served promptly and with a smile. Also, the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. Highly recommended.

There is definitely a lot of competition within this area which unfortunately makes it hard for this place to stand out! The flavours and taste were alright however the service was phenomenal! I would come back again to try out their other dessert options as they look amazing but might pass on the main entrees that is not to say they weren’t good. Overall had a good time here :)

This place is a bit salty and too much msg, thirsty all night long. Also their strawberry Bingsu only have 6 pieces of strawberry in it ? ( not the whole strawberries but chopped ones)

The food is pretty good and tasty! but everyone in my family agreed it wasn't the best Korean food we had. We thought the chicken in the UFO was already fully cooked but a couple of our pieces were half done / undercooked so that was just an unpleasant surprise we didn't expect. We've tried their desserts before as well. I think their beautiful presentations set too high of an expectation for the taste that it can be a little disappointing when it doesn't taste crazy phenomenal.Service is ok but they get pretty busy so you might have to wait a while before they respond to you ringing the bell. The place is built with very hard surfaces so it was very noisy. That along with the fact that many young adults gathered here who generally spoke very loudly. I was able to clearly overhear the conversations from every table in the restaurant and I felt kinda intrusive and experienced an auditory overload that led to a headache. My family didn't seem as bothered by it though so it probably won't affect you as much unless you're sensitive to it or prefer more privacy like me.Overall I think it's a nice social place to eat with friends or family if you don't mind a noisy atmosphere but just wasn't the place for me. ^^

Great variety of casual Korean and Korean fusion!I like authentic Italian pasta but also like Asian fusion pasta. Their carbonara with fried chicken, cream pasta with bulgogi, and rose with chicken and fries were all good. Also tried a rice dish, desserts (waffle and parfait), and drinks. There are so many interesting foods and drinks I would love to come back.Open till late (11:30) and later (1:30) on wkend.

One of the best Korean food I've tried in Vancouver! The staffs were super friendly and I loved the interior ?The portion size was pretty big with a reasonable price!

We ordered two of their pasta dishes, carbonara chicken and rose chicken. The pasta was bland but the chicken was good and crispy. I'm giving two stars because the food tasted metallic from the stainless steel pan that they served the food in. It was really off-putting and I had to spit out a few bites. I also found it overpriced, paid $68 before tip.
