We enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner on Wednesday evening. Beautiful views and attentive staff. The value was incredible, and the BC wine was delicious.

Wow, what an outstanding experience at Mintara for a family celebration! Loved the attentive service, the eye popping sushi items which were so creative & delicious, as was the 3 course roast beef option. Also loved the mountain top view of the city & sunset. We'll be back soon.

What an amazing experience we had with our family celebrating our 25th anniversary. Everything from the attentive service, quality and beautifully presented dishes to the reasonably priced menu, and let’s not forget the million dollar sunset view of the city…it was all perfection! The sushi was second to none, some of the best we’ve had from all over the world. Definitely will be back soon and will be our new favorite go to from burgers to amazing 4-course dinners. Thank you Mintara. 10?

Thank you Carissa and to the rest of the crew at Minatara. We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday. The whole burnaby mountain area lost power but Carissa and her staff worked really hard to make it possible for us to run the celebration. I will forever be grateful to Mintara and Carissa. I definitely recommend them for any type of celebration.

Absolutely a gem.Service was amazing, not overbearing or obsequious, but friendly and attentive.Location/View is the best in Metro Van, catching the sunset should be part of any celebration plan (or visitors)The food was as good as expected, on the edge of fine dining but familiar and well executed. Can't wait for the menu to rotate and a chance to try new dishes.

This place has a lot of potential but the food needs a bit of attention. The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had - no complaints there. Surf and turf was good but the sides didn't really work, except for the potatoes. The dessert was the biggest disappointment... I was really looking forward to trying the key lime panna cotta but the texture was all wrong. It was very rubbery, as was my husband's pumpkin panna cotta. Service was very friendly. All in all not a bad outing but at these prices, I expected a bit better. It is not the reliable quality that Horizons used to deliver.

Went to Mintara for the first time with my partner during Bite of Burnaby. Prices were reasonable and the 5-course menu in particular was exceptional value. All items on the 5-course menu were fresh and delicious! Service was friendly but not intrusive. Shout out to Carissa in particular, who provided thoughtful and attentive care! Looking forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

Located at the top of Burnaby Mountain, I believe they were recently rebranded/renovated. They offer a very reasonably priced $40 for 3 courses or $65 for 5 courses. The website does mention they only take reservations so do be mindful of that! They had a la carte available at the time as well, but the value is way better with the set menus. We tried the 5 courses (Starter + Sushi Roll (4pc) + Soup OR Salad + Entree + Dessert) as a part of Dine Out Vancouver this year but it seems they have extended their offering for the next little while. Inside is dimly lit giving a romantic vibe!We went as a group of 4 and this is what we tried:Starters: Ahi Tuna Tartare, Hamachi CarpaccioSushi Roll: Salmon Roll (sockeye salmon, cucumber, avocado), Crab Roll (fresh crab, avocado, cucumber)Soup: Lobster Bisque (with lobster chunks and garlic toast.. mmm)Entree: Surf & Turf (8oz NY Steak with choice of 3oz lobster tail or 2 scallops), Miso-Glazed Sable FishDessert: Chocolate Souffle with vanilla bean gelato and fresh berriesDrinks: Recommend the Shanghai Fizz (2oz - $15) - gin, lychee liqueur, pineapple juice, ginger ale. They also had a good variety of mocktails as well. The seafood in the starters/sushi rolls were good quality and fresh tasting. Portions were very very generous, and everything was tastier than I expected! The presentation was lovely. Even just the Surf & Turf itself would be charged for much more at similar establishments. I would definitely return for a special occasion/date night!

We were there on Valentine's Day and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the table at the window. We opted for the 5 course and 3 course set menu which were reasonably priced. Each course was cooked to perfection, including the sable fish, steak and lobster and the portions were just right. We were not rushed between courses, like at many other restaurants, because they don't seem to have second seatings. The restaurant tables are spaced far apart and the music was not too loud, which allowed us to enjoy each other's company without having to shout to be heard, like at many other restaurants. The only feedback we have is that it is challenging to make reservations as they do not accommodate many people, even though the facility is huge. This means that they are often sold out. But rather than indicate "full" on the website, it states that the restaurant is "closed". This is not great marketing at all, because I just assumed that they are never open, and didn't bother to go back and check again.

Good done out menu. Closes early.

Great ambience and spacious. Food was good. Both steak and sablefish were cooked on point. Dessert was very enjoyable - chocolate souffle with icecream and fresh berries!

Our company held our Christmas Party at the restaurant at the end of November. There were 100 of us or so. It was a beautiful venue. It was big enough to have plenty of rooms where you didn't feel like you were squished in but also gave a cozy feeling. It was so nice to have the whole restaurant to just our group. The food was excellent, price was right, no step up or clean up. Carissa and her team did a great job. I would highly recommend the Mintara for your next function!

Mintara is a gem. We last ate there some years ago while it was still known as Horizons and it was good. Fast forward to now, after the remodeling and change of menus, WOW! Dine-out-Vancouver, 5 course meal, service and ambience, we were delighted. We will be coming back!
