It’s a cute place to come in for skewers and beer. I love the neon signs decor. However, if you cannot take any spicy food, it may not be a place for you. Our family came here for dinner couple weeks ago and I specifically asked for the “non spicy” skewers. Perhaps some of the spices landed on our skewers and they tasted very spicy for my child. Otherwise, the food tasted great.

This is what Angus skewer looks like… even tinier than your pinky ? you have to order at least 100 skewers to feel like you are eating something. It wasn't like this a year ago but how they operate right now is just terrible.

My experience here was horrible. They have a lunch box buffet which ends at 2 pm. Arrived there at 12 and all the food ran out, I had to wait around 30 minutes for one single dish to get refilled. The floor was sticky and under my table there was a patch of ants, around 50 of them scrambling around in a clump, and I lost my appetite completely. They offered some of what was leftover in the meanwhile, and it was just greasy soiled onions. There was no hygiene whatsoever, I expected the workers that were distributing food to wear gloves or masks, but they wore neither. I lost my appetite as soon as I saw this. The customer service was terrible, other customers that arrived around the same time as me and before me had no idea what to do, no workers welcomed them in or told them where to line up, etc., so we had to either ask or wait to figure it out ourselves. In the end, I decided to give them a chance but the food wasn’t half as bad as I thought it would be, however I had to stop eating halfway as I became nauseous. Please do not waste your time coming to such a mediocre “buffet”, I would highly recommend another place.

All you can eat at lunch time is the only good point here, but only if you're not picky about the food proposed...

The service was terrible the second time we went. It was Thursday 7pm and there were only 5-6 tables occupied. We marked our orders on the menu but no one came to check on us for 15 minutes. The staff were just walking by or checking other tables as if we were invisible. We decided to leave after 15 mins since they didn't seem to want our business. Will not come back again.

March 15, 2024. For our group this experience definitely deserves a one-star rating, if not less. We placed our order at 7:38 PM, but even after 40 minutes, we received nothing but barbecue sauce and chicken skin. When we inquired with the waiter, her excuse was that the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders. However, we observed that tables behind us received their orders promptly and were ready to leave within the same timeframe. This wasn't an isolated incident, as several tables that arrived after us were served skewers. We didn’t want to wait any longer, after paying for the dishes, we left feeling frustrated. What truly went wrong here?

This review is on their buffet lunch only! Adult $16.88, seniors 65+ additional 20% off. Lots of meat, veggies and Chinese breakfast selections. Instead of scrambled egg they got tea leaf egg. Chinese donuts, millet porridge, black fungus etc. the bang for your buck would be the manila clams. Some Tiktok videos showed fried shrimp (which I didn't see) so I think the menu does change up a bit. There are complimentary hot tea and hot soy milk (some said the soy milk was watered down but I find it quite nice!) And you are supposed to wait for the staff to serve you aka scoop the foods onto your tray but as you can see from my photo, some impatient customers would reach over and scoop food themselves which is a bit annoying. Once you get in, tell them dine in or takeout and line up. They will provide a metal tray with rice and you basically point to what you want. Later one of the servers would come over to you with card machine. They also have sliced apples and oranges!! Tell them ahead of time if you have seniors or not! It's a good economic alternative in this economy!!

If you want each pig's feet to have rough hairYou can only give one slice of meat at a time... I would like to ask why you don't give one piece of kelp silk at a time. You only give one piece of meat at a time... If you don't believe that consumers can not open a buffet and treat people like dogs? Can I give you a grain of rice every time? I said I'm afraid you'll waste it. There are no eggs in the scrambled eggs with tomatoes.

The last time we went, the food was good but the service was horrible. The managers/owners were fighting with workers. A lot of screaming and crying. It was a horrible experience. But I like the shop's atmosphere a lot and decided to give it another try.It seemed like the kitchen staffs were all changed. Last time we went, they were older men( I saw all the workers thanks to the fight), but now they were younger. The food was so horrible that I decided to pay for my friends' portions too. I was the one who chose the restaurant and I felt responsible. I won't be visiting again... bye...

I always have my reservation in eating skewers because I am not a big fan of cumins. However, their spice blend was pretty mild in cumin and it even had a hint of sweetness. We were going to try out the Korean place next door but they are full but lucky Northern BBQ has a table for us We were quite impressed with the place. First of all, the place is big enough to park our stroller at the table and still get a high chair for baby. Secondly, I am a sucker for cute interiors so the design makes the dining experience more enjoyable. Last but not least, the food is actually pretty good. We ordered a bunch of skewers, stinky tofu and the shedded chicken with jelly fish. I skipped out on the organs stuff since it's not my thing. Yes, we ordered a lot of meat skewers. I thought about ordering veggies skewers but the price doesn't make sense to me. I could have bought the whole veggie for the price they charge for a small portion of it. Squishy likes the stinky tofu but it turns out it wasn't for me. The sticky tofu that I had in mind was the ones I had at Taiwan night market where the tofu was crispy and served with pickle vegetables. The stinky tofu here is more like braised tofu topped with their spice blend. The shredded chicken with jellyfish has a funny story lol I initially thought that maybe the jellyfish is different too but it turns out they forgot to add it the dish. Someone came out and added it back on half way through lol Overall, I am happy with the place and definitely will be coming back. The food is on the pricy side. The two of us spent $120 on food without any drinks.

Not happy with the services at all. Apparently the restaurant was understaffed on Sunday night. The table behind us had to leave after long wait. Waited long time to get the bbq, however, the skewers were not hot! The dry pot was the worst of the night. Portion was super small for the price and dry. Super disappointed and would never go back.
