We came here on a Thursday night and the server that had short hair was rude. She had an attitude with everyone and was not very hospitable; however the other server was nice. The pizza chef and the server with short hair kept yelling and the pizza chef was evidently mad as he kept banging things. The food was ok, kind of bland and very average. Overall, I was disappointed as the restaurant looked nice but the service and food need some refinement.

We’ve been there multiple times for dinner and never been disappointed so far ! It’s is a great pizza place, pizza dough and crust amazing, red and white pizza sauce is very delicious. Pizza has the right amount of ingredients, and toppings on it! Service this time was outstanding! I also recommend to try Cesar salad because in my opinion sauce was amazing with Cesar salat!!I would give five star for everything!!!!The only recommendation from us would be to make a decor a bit more cozy, home welcoming, it’s too plane now and poor decor unfortunately

Ordered two pasta meals (each about 27$). Both were bland with almost no parmesan (like a salt sprinkle) and about a buffet average taste, everyone who is reading this… please cook at home and don't burn 80$ for this… Sorry, but for traditional Italian restaurant… what a shame!!!! This is not Italian food!

Date of dining: Monday, March 11, 2024, 6pm:The music when I walked in was a bit of a turn off. It was a hectic trance song that made it a bit hard to settle down. The food is incredible. Absolutely no complaints and I will come back for sure. The service was not good. She was a young brunette woman. She knew the basics of what to do, but it was how she did it that was irritating. I joined my dad for dinner and her service was slow and when she did pay attention to me, she asked me as if we already had a conversation that I didn’t need much but I was hungry and ready to order way ahead of when she approached. She didn’t stop directly at the table. She took my order while standing almost behind me so I had to turn my body to her. It seemed like every time we spoke, it was her walking past not ready to actually stop to speak to me. Her speaking manner was rude like I had to rush to get it out because she was anticipating when I would be done so she could walk away. I felt panicked that if she walked away we wouldn’t catch her again for another ten minutes so I was worried she wouldn’t take my full order. Our plates weren’t cleared between the starter and main so we sat with empty plates for about 10 minutes.

In terms of food, the salad was overwhelmingly salty. I couldn't taste anything else except for salt. The pasta tasted undercooked and chewy. The pizza was good though. The service was non-existent. Surprising because there were 4 servers for 10 tables. No one came by to refill our waters, no one asked us if our food tasted ok and it felt like we were forgotten.

My recent trip to Sopra Sotto had some great moments, like the awesome food (We ordered Margheritta pizza, calzone and Meatballs for starts), everything was delicious. Also we are surprised with a complimentary dessert as a gesture for my anniversary! It was so appreciative. The wood fire oven adds a special and unique flavor to the dishes, making them taste even better. The customer service was very good and we loved the clean and modern decor. However, I faced a little issue with where my table was placed. My table was right in front of the main door, and that made things umconfortable. People waiting for their food ended up standing really close to our table, almost touching us. This constant movement and proximity were not only distracting but also somewhat intrusive, detracting from the overall dining experience. I would like to suggest that the restaurant reconsider placing tables in such high-traffic areas. Furthermore, I recommend the installation of a kind of faux wall or partition to separate the waiting area from the dining space, it is just a suggestion to think about! It will also help to keep out the cold from outside. That could make everyone's dining experience better. Overall, Sopra Sotto is really good, but a small change like that could make it even better!

Cozy little Italian restaurant. Has good pasta and pizza to choose from!Main selling point is the atmosphere, it’s very cozy - kind of feeling like eating at home.Would recommend for small groups for casual dining

Rating: 3/5 My recent experience at Sopra Sotto for a birthday dinner was unfortunately far from ideal. While the food was delicious, the overall service and handling of our reservation left much to be desired. Upon arrival, despite making a reservation for a party of five well in advance, the restaurant failed to provide adequate seating. The table set up was only for four individuals, despite our reservation indicating a party of five, and we were left waiting for 30 minutes. This was disappointing, especially considering we had planned our evening around the reservation. Once seated, we found the service to be lacking in warmth and attentiveness. Our server seemed disinterested and was not particularly accommodating. It's essential for a restaurant to prioritize customer service, and unfortunately, this aspect fell short during our visit. For a birthday celebration, one would expect a higher level of engagement and enthusiasm from the staff, but unfortunately, this was lacking. On the bright side, the food itself was a saving grace. It's evident that the kitchen staff takes pride in their craft, and the quality of the cuisine reflects this dedication. In summary, while the food at Sopra Sotto is very enjoyable, the overall dining experience was marred by poor organization and lackluster service. Improvements in managing reservations and enhancing customer interactions could elevate the restaurant's reputation and ensure guests leave with a more positive impression.
