This is authentic Japanese cuisine made from scratch by a husband and wife team with decades of experience. The seating is sometimes limited but even for takeout I highly recommend it!

Sushi Kilala is a hidden gem runs by a Japanese family. Ingredients are always fresh and sushi are delicately made. Some of our favorite sushi are Hamachi, Toro and Saba nirigi. The chopped scallop Gunkan is also very good.Highly recommended!

Authentic sushi with generous portion and reasonable pricing. They offer some unique roll combinations. Unatama roll and negi saba shiso roll are two of my favourites. Love their futomaki as well.Their tamago seems to be made in house. It’s so soft and not overly eggy.Service has always been friendly and efficient.

The most remarkable family run sushi place in North Burnaby for sure, and potentially in all of greater Vancouver. The execution from the simple perfectly balanced miso soup (no overpowering saltiniess), to the staples such as the spicy tuna roll or dynamite roll, to the more deluxe pieces such as uni, are all done consistently and solidly. The tako (octopus) is boiled to perfection as well. Cannot speak highly enough of this place and hope to see them around for many more years to come

Mom and Pop run small restaurant set back off the street on a quieter (for pedestrians) part of Hastings St. Literally a hidden gem! Sushi is always fresh and of good quality. Service is prompt and courteous. We shared a negitoro roll, yam tempura roll, beef teriyaki roll, ethnic salmon roll, negi saba shiso roll and miso soups.

Decent sushi place in town. I am so glad this place very close to our apartment.Their ungai battera is the best one in Vancouver and the quality of Unagi can beat the one in Japan with reasonable price.Portion of Uni nigiri is very generous and quality was great.

This little Japanese mom and pop shop has been quite the sushi gem for quite some time in North Burnaby. With it's short opening hours it sure speaks volumes how well they are able to maintain regular customers with the quality of their sushi. Their sushi are more on the traditional side and absolutely fresh and delicious! We ordered Saba Battera + Scallop/ Hamachi / Uni Nigiri + Dynamite Roll + Nigitoro Roll + Kilala House Roll. It's very hard to pick a favourite but saba battera and uni nigiri definitely stood out and their house roll is enormous even with half order!
