1- Some employees are very serious about service. This time I met a bad waitress with a bad attitude and looked like she owed her millions. I asked her if she had any forks. She replied, "The forks are all gone and they are being used by the customers." "We're done, please use chopsticks." Seeing that many people are full and don't have forks, you don't clear the table, and then say in a very bad tone that there are no forks.2-The other is that when you check out, the clerk will stand next to you and watch you tip. You didn't give any service, and you even encountered a waitress who didn't give you a fork. I came at a weird in between hour (4 pm), it looked closed from the outside due to blinds down - but there were five tables with customers with engaged conversations, music was not too distracting or too loud. Good atmosphere.Service was good, came and checked in on how I was liking the food. It looked good, tasted good and had decent portion. Maybe a tad saltier than my preference but I didn't say anything up front and for North American market it is tame.

The worst Sushi place I've ever been too. The food did not have quality at all and their prices are very high for the poor quality of food and service they offer. The rolls are cut inconsistent, the agedashi tofu smelled and tasted very fishy. Worst of all was their service. As soon as we walked in, instead of saying hello, the guy at the cashier rudely asked what can I do ? !! And when we chose to not pay any tip they kept cancelling our transaction because they wanted to force us to pay tip. They kept asking for tip even after we paid and we're walking out the door. I found them very rude and unprofessional, if I could give them 0 stars I would. Will never return there or recommend it to anyone even my worst enemy. That's how disgusting I found them.

Sushi Garden will always be my go to sushi spot in Burnaby. It gets a little busy sometimes but their service is always fast and top-notch!My girlfriend and I love to share the love boat, it has the perfect amount of Sashimi to share between the both of us and includes miso soup for both, some rolls, and orange slices for dessert.Their food is fairly priced compared to other sushi restaurants.
Nice Japanese setting restaurant ? ?. They had very delicious sushi ?, I mean very much.Chairs ? and tables are very like Japanese homes and feel good. Lots of parking and good prices for items.
This is the best of all the Sushi Garden franchises. It's very clean and spacious. All of the Sushi Garden locations are consistent with the quality of food and portion size. The Lougheed location is also very good with similar atmosphere to this location.We've been coming to Sushi Garden for 14 years and it's by far our favourite sushi restaurant to come because of it's reasonable prices (used to be the cheapest sushi in town but the pandemic and inflation took care of that) and the highest quality and consistency. I haven't reviewed it before because I wanted to keep the place a secret but most people in Burnaby know this is the place to come nowadays. We drive in from downtown at least once a month. Get there early and show up with your entire party or they won't seat you.
the food is great. the service is usually good, until we recently dined in and encountered one of the most entitled waiters. i hope he gets humbled. long story short, we tipped him but then he had the attitude and the audacity to keep saying to us that it’s “not good enough” even though the service could’ve been better ngl and tipping isn’t even a mandatory thing. someone i know had the same issue with the same waiter so beware. some of the waitresses are lovely though. i don’t want to dine in again.

Food is not bad, just mid at best, but this review pertains to the customer service and attitude as others have already posted about as well.Upon arrival, one male server forced us to sit to wait for a table that was just getting wiped down. I have never been greeted like this before or forced to sit to wait. I explained that I’ve been sitting all day for work and would prefer to stand. He replied back with “you have to sit down”. I am baffled.
