We make a point of stopping here when passing through in the evening :) They don’t open until 4:30.Feels like authentic Chinese food- very deep and earthy flavours. The spicy eggplant dish is so delicate it’s delightful! The service isn’t embellished, but it is quick and you get what you want.Great dinner stop ??

Food was beautiful; I ate way too much simply because it was so good I didn’t want to stop. A hidden gem of a place. An easy recommendation.

Would Not Recommend. Had good reviews so we thought we would try. Had the dinner for two, Sweet (honey) pork and Kungpoa chicken with "fried rice". Pork was just okay, chicken had an unusual texture and taste, and dry roasts peanuts were tossed on the dish as almost an afterthought vs being cooked with the chicken. Did not like it at all. The "fried" rice looked , had the texture of, AND tasted like "steamed rice" with some carrots and peas thrown in. Asked when it was delivered, as it looked very white and pasty, is this "fried rice ?" to which the owner (I believe) said "yes". Server (maybe owner) was very nice and in that we did not eat much of this food at all did not want to insult by leaving it all so we asked for "to go" boxes. Could not believe , when we got the bill, they charged almost $3.00 for the boxes!!! Which , not planing to eat it anyway, we promptly threw out after leaving. Very disappointed with the experience.

By far, River City’s best Chinese food. You can still get your standards, but stray a bit to more traditional dishes and you will not be disappointed. Fresh vegetables, amazing flavours. My kids enjoyed the noodles which were not stuck clumped mass produced, but well seasoned with good garnish. Our favourites are Kung Pao chicken and honey crisp beef, but nothing we have tried has disappointed—-book ahead for Peking duck if you want a real treat. A family owned business, the service is excellent, traditional music and decor. Don’t be fooled by the outside,

The best Chinese food place in CR. They have lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options, amazing consistent service, clean restaurant. Surprised the ratings are only 4.5. Our family's favourite!Dietary restrictions: Great GF and DF options.

We tried Beijing House after seeing some promising reviews we were very disappointed everything was very bland, and not very good. We won’t be repeat customers.

Excellent food. We love the shrimp dumplings to start the meal off. We always ask for extra spicy for their other delicious dishes. The food is not overly sweet like some other Chinese restaurants. Friendly staff.

I spent Chinese New Years here with a large group and we had excellent service and amazingly authentic Chinese food. Get the green onion pancake, black bean chicken and cumin beef! Xie xie!
