We had eggs Benny and the German pancake. The ladies will advertise when they get fresh fruit for ingredients. Still a bit early for me to assume I was ordering fresh berries for my pancake. The ladies were very friendly. Service was great.

Stopped by for breakfast. A bit noisy when we first sat down but quietened down shortly after. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. We had the classic bacon and egg breakfast- nicely cooked, hot and very tasty. Big compliment on the home baked bread for toast. Delicious! Would definitely recommend this place for a hearty breakfast. Next time I’m going to try the German pancakes. PS: I would have taken photos but I was too hungry ….

This lil cafe eatery is so great! The energy of the women who works there is amazing, she's like sunshine in human form. I ordered the eggs benny, my friends ordered the German pancake and Belgium waffle. Everything we ate was superb. And the coffee is chefs kiss. I will be going back to try lunch soon.I didn't pay attention to prices but it must be very affordable due to the amount of senior customers. Go try it out!!

Excellent food, from the Tapsalog to the Soup and sandwich combo. Definitely a good place to eat. We like to support the local small businesses whenever we travel, and this was a great choice. Nice place to eat. We would definitely return when we come back.

In Campbell River for a minute and decided to grab some brunch. Picked a local place here on Yelp, but the reviews outlined a careless attitude about their patrons during Covid so full no. Sunny Day had good reviews, so off we go. Boy are we glad we did. This place is truly a hidden gem on one of the back streets and in a small strip mall. Seek it out, you won't be disappointed. The place is filled with energy, great staff and a wide range of patrons from young to the not so young. It's sparsely decorated with no real theme, but the place was very clean. There was a lady cleaning surfaces pretty much the entire time we were there. We had breakfast, so I can only comment on that. The portions were larger than they appeared on the plate and while I managed to eat all mine the lovely K left some potatoes. The bacon was excellent, the turkey sausages the same and had a distinctive turkey taste, not something you typically notice. We thought the place was an easy five star, perhaps even more. The next time we are in Campbell River, we will stop in again for sure!
