Everything looks very nice but if you're expecting a French Patisserie, it isn't.

I've always loved their buns and cakes. Last week, I went to Coquitlam store to pick up the 8" cake that I preordered online, also got some buns (on sale!). The cake is amazing as usual, however, all 3 pork buns taste really funny.... I am pretty sure it was bad. I had their buns many many times, so I know that's not the right flavor.... very disappointed.

Bought this for my son’s 21st birthday and it was so dry. He took a piece and sadly I took a bite and straight to the garbage. I’ll have to get cake in Vancouver next time at the place I normally go. It’s too bad as this is a lot closer.

What was impressive was the service I received today. Being disabled, a younger lady came to help me out. Held the tray and asked me what else I needed. She individually wrapped my items and was very patient in handling the transaction and well. This level of service is impressive, to say the least. The food is good. Variety has reduced compared to a year back the last time I visited. Since it's a regular store, there's not much to say of the atmosphere. A little tight in terms of space in the store as well.

Has the pandemic and wars affected so much that buying a cake means they hand you the box without it being tied? It forces you to buy a bag large enough to fit the cake box and charge you 35 cents. This is pathetic and poor way to cash grab. I have taken this business out of my future purchases.

So sad. I haven't had this cake for a while. They changed the Sicilian almond torte for the worst.. it was so crunchy and full of nuts before, now only the bottom layer has the nuts. Cmon, how can you be so cheap. I think they soak it in almond extract now or something. Boo!

Usually I come between the time when they're almost closing because they have the baked goods on sale. come early because it's first come first serve and you want to get the good items before they're all gone. I feel like St. Germain's bakery is a step below Maxwell bakery in my opinion but it's always good in a quick pitch or some baked goods.Parking: It's a literally at Coquitlam center so there's no way you can't find parking

Their cakes are amazing. Our favorites are mango passion fruit and raspberry lychee, light, creamy and not overly sweet, exactly how I like it.

Ordered the lobster roll. Looks nothing like the photo. The lobster was placed on top of paper which was placed in the bun. The whole thing liberally sprinkled with dried herbs so it looks like the sandwich has grown mold. No napkins or cutlery was given so I don’t know how they expect me to place the lobster on the bun!

Small eclectic bakery in a mall mixing French pastries and Asian buns/tarts.

Consistently poor experiences in this store where they serve other customers before me who are Asian or white.

Saint Germain Bakery is a Chinese-style bakery with decent quality goods. The selection is limited, but the staff is friendly and the store is small. It's located inside the Coquitlam Centre mall.
