Dropped in after checking out other places but not finding what we felt like. The sandwiches here were outstanding - fresh buns, tasty combinations and so much flavour. Will definitely be back.

Best sandwiches ever! The cubano needs to become a regular. It’s so uniquely vibey. It’s almost worth a drive from Victoria just to come here!

My wife and I went for a hot bevvy after a walk but the lunch special jumped out at us as we entered. Amazing. I've never had a brisket sangie with peanuts on it before and I must say the mixture of soft, crunchie, spicey and crispy together was spectacular. The coffee was great too. Highly recommend. I don't need to drive down to Vic any more to go to Part & Parcel for something unique and delicious. Great work!

If you like lighter roast, single origin coffee, this is easily the best in the comox valley.I normally drink black pour over, but laneway sometimes makes insanely good espresso drinks out of lighter roast beans. It’s often busy and sometimes a little loud (maybe because the space doesn’t dampen sound enough?).

I really love it here. Big city coffee in a tiny town. It would be fun if they had a second more exciting option for espresso but that is a huge ask.
Beautiful little gem in Cumberland. Friendly & fast service. Breakfast bagels were absolutely delectable!

Being somewhat newer to coffee, I've been absolutely ruined by Laneway. In my travels to larger cities (e.g. Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Austin, etc.), I struggle to find coffee shops that can match the quality, consistency, variety, and ambiance of Laneway. I'm very lucky to be a local to visit often and can highly recommend Laneway to any visitors to Cumberland. The whole crew is knowledgeable, kind, and hard-working. World class.

Meatloaf sandwich was insanely good. Warm apple cider was also delicious and great pre or post ride.

Lovely cafe in Cumberland with great coffee selection and a very tasty food selection. The sandwiches are so worth the trip from out of town Everytime.
