Willing to remove the review if not the correct place. In memory, this has always been the Centennial Beach Cafe/"the only place to get food and ice cream". There are however multiple listings across different websites, which show the same photo and menu but have a different name and disconnected phones. This phone number exists, connection is very poor. Unable to report food poisoning, and inquire if cross contamination is contributing.Food taste: decent. It was acceptable chicken strips and fries, difficult but possible to mess up. Decent price (~$10) and quick service (midday midweek).

They had sandwiches on the menu with grill marks, I thought they were paninis. What I got was a sandwich grilled just long enough to leave marks, but the ingredients inside were cold and cheese unmelted. The ham was a single 1/4" thick slice instead of sliced thin like normal. Like how do you screw up a ham and cheese panini so badly?

Only sells ice creams and drinks, you’ll wait 20 minutes to find out as they don’t both to put up a sign saying they’re not serving food. And they don’t serve water, not bottled or tap. Prices are crazy high, don’t plan on being able to eat here.

Whoever is managing this establishment needs to have a serious look at their operation. Understaffed. Very long wait time. Food could barely be called food. Chicken nuggets overcooked on outside and mushy inside. Guessing oil was too hot? Burger meat was so cheap.. then poorly cooked.. grey, cold and mushy. Fries.. which I cannot believe could be messed up, were raw in some.. cold and soggy. You could hear the poor staff slamming the microwave over and over trying to get orders out and keep the mush warm. Waiting for order you could hear server constantly tell customers they were out of everything. Bought food for children but after trying my own then inspecting theirs I couldn't in any right mind let them eat it.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE This review is based on a single visit at Centennial Park - it's potentially a lifesaver if you're in a jam for food at the beach/park; however, the food we tried was a little low quality-wise - perhaps stick with their fish and chips per the advice of other Yelpers? === 2. FOOD Burger & Fries ($8.75): fairly simple with lettuce and tomato; the bun may not have been as fresh, so it was alright on the whole. Kid's Chicken Nuggets & Fries ($7.99): the nuggets are forgettable (maybe bring anything McDonald's or Burger King can provide), but at least the fries are alright! === 3. SERVICE The service itself was good; it did take a while for the food to arrive, but it was busy. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a walk-up counter in a larger building, clean and relatively modern. Menus in the background are easy to see, and it's accessible by everyone, including those with wheelchairs and baby strollers. Parking is plentiful in the park's parking lot.

Terrible customer service and dishonest employees. I asked for chicken wrap, but girl replied that they don’t do wraps at all today. But that was untruth because my friend ordered the same wrap 10 mins ago. So I asked girls to be honest with their customers,so their next answer was that they stopped doing wraps right now as they don’t have tortillas. So moral of the story is that I have received awful service from the dishonest employees. My advise to the owner: please keep an eye on your employees and make sure that they don’t lie to the customers.

Not good but slow. Typical high concession prices, mediocre food at best, 45 minute wait for 3 orders of chips and a burger. Could have walked back into town and back for food quicker.

Was told the kitchen service was closed by management just as I got to the front of the line to order. Only drinks and ice cream available. Pretty frustrating since I heard the lady right before me give a full order complete with fish and chips, drinks and burgers. This was on a sunny weekend in the summer at about 1pm - so lunch rush. Kitchen was to remain closed for up to an hour because they had "too many orders to go through".I see another reviewer posted 5 hrs ago about being told wraps all of a sudden not being available (p.s. they were available until I got to the front of the line).Little ones did not have their picnic and had to leave the beach to get food. There was no way we were driving in and out for food to deal with finding parking and setting up on the beach again.Ownership needs to address this as they lost quite a bit of business with such poor planning. Who closes their kitchen in the middle of a lunch rush?

Prices are definitely a bit on the pricey side, and it doesn't seem to be open often.

Honestly not too bad for park concession. Prices aren't cheap but quality is way better than what Vancouver Park Board concession offers.Their poutine was quite big and actually enjoyable.

Prices could be better, but because of its prime location, it's a popular spot for beachgoers to grab a quick bite or a cold drink. There's also an indoor seating area.My iced coffee ($3.55 plus tax) was a little acidic but hit the spot on a hot day. Loved how it came with a paper straw :)
