Omg I have no words. Julian was our server and he was so well informed and guided us through the best items and what to order. The food was made with the freshest ingredients. I am visiting from Vancouver and this was better than most of the spots there. Kelowna needed this and not did it deliver. Top notch food and drinks the best in the city even after living here I can say this place is #1

Went for date night and really wanted this place to be good. They serve Tapa style, which we are very familiar with in Spain. However, these tapas were very small and overpriced. The duck wings were over cooked drum sticks with a very, very sweet sauced poured on top. The veal was below average. A single vodka tonic was $18.

We had a fantastic time at Humo Izakaya. The menu is unique and refreshing from what you can normally find in Kelowna. Our meals were excellent! Everything was cooked perfectly (steak and duck). Management (Alex) went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies and even with the changes to my meals, it didn't affect the quality or taste of them at all. Our server Julian was attentive and checked on us regularly. Our glasses were never empty! I can't recommend this place enough.

First off, they have KILLED it with the remodel; the decor is on point! The atmosphere was a huge improvement from previous restaurants at this location. Our server was delightful and very knowledgeable of the dishes and drink pairings. We had 6 dishes between us and were satisfied with most of our choices. The pork belly tacos, gyoza, and duck wings were a huge hit! We were, however, underwhelmed with the karage chicken as it was quite bland. It would be best served as the first thing you eat as every other dish overpowered it. The squid was also not quite something one would expect but the flavor was still good.

We went for New Year’s Eve dinner and had the most wonderful time. This is the best food we have ever had and the service was amazing. Julian is a great server and the entire staff is very professional. You can tell that the food is made with love! We split a large amount of small dishes and every single one was a hit.Dietary restrictions: One of us has a soy allergy and it is very challenging to find restaurants that are knowledgeable enough about the food they are serving for us to eat out. Humo Izakaya did a wonderful job letting us know which dishes had soy and which did not. Highly recommend if you have a soy allergy.

A great place to eat one of the better meals I have had in Kelowna. Tapas are incredibly tasty and are good size portions(split things among 3 people easily). Drinks were also quite good. Servers are knowledgeable about the food and have great recommendations from the menu.
Wow. Absolutely perfect dining experience. Menue has a ton to choose from so I will definitely be back. It's certainly pricier but you get what you pay for. Food was absolutely perfectly cooked, server was amazing, and loved the atmosphere.
