Went for dinner/ music. The music was great. No social distancing though. Salmon was dry, salad was drenched in mayonnaise and brownie desert tasted like it came out of a box. The service was good and the staff friendly. Would like to try this place for lunch which is what it specializes in.

I tried MTL for the first time a few weeks ago, and unfortunately wasn't really impressed.The first issue was I'd made an online order (smoked meat sandwich and fries, to go), and then when I got to the restaurant 15-20 minutes later, the order hadn't been started yet. I believe the person responsible for receiving the online orders missed it. I got the impression she was new, I'm not sure.This wasn't a big deal, as the staff jumped on it and got me my order quickly.In terms of the food itself, I will say first off that this was the first time I'd ever tried Montreal smoked beef, or any beef brisket for that matter... so maybe the issue is just that I had incorrect expectations.That said, I found the meat to be cut quite thick (maybe because they were in a rush?) very fatty and chewy, to the point where it was a very difficult bite, and really not appetizing. This may sound weird but it seemed like I was eating fatty ham more than I was eating beef. Now... again... I was new to Montreal smoked meat, so maybe that's exactly how it should be!In the end though, I didn't finish the sandwich, as it was just too chewy and too fatty for my tastes.I also found the bread, while tasty, was overly soft... and that combined with the difficult bite of the meat, caused it to all fall apart on me.On a positive note, the fries were very good.Unfortunately though, I wouldn't order this meal again, as it just wasn't for me, and for the cost, I was disappointed.I chose a middle of the road rating, because while I did not enjoy the sandwich, I realize that maybe I just don't have the taste for it, personally.

We had a great time attending a dinner and music event. The three course meal was delicious; the service was excellent and friendly; the music was memorable! Such a fun time. It was a wonderful night out!

Great to find a smoked meat option in Kelowna! The smoked meat is soft and juicy, service was fast and friendly. I read some comments about the thickness of the cuts of meat here, it’s definitely a thicker carve but just like people, smoked meat comes in all shapes and sizes. Personally I prefer a thinner cut but the thicker version is really good just a different experience. Will definitely be back, support your local smoked meat pusher because COVID has been a tough go for many restaurants!

We ordered take away. The service was friendly unfortunately the three sandwiches and poutine all went in the trash almost 70.00 with tip. The steak sandwich was very dry and tasted off. Both brisket sandwiches were tough, more fat than meat and really thickly sliced and the bread fell apart. The poutine fries were dark brown , soggy with very little curd and the gravy was overly salty. I did not want to go into that much detail but you asked. Sorry about that.

Great food. I was recommended the best Poutine in Kelowna and that is spot on. The Smoked Meat Poutine is excellent.

I started going to MTL about 4 years ago. Food is very good, service was always average. Thought I'd stop in for lunch last weekend only to find that I'm no longer welcome in their restaurant. I guess my business over the years didn't mean as much to them, as it did to me. Dad

Took over an hour to get sandwiches!! Plus, they took the smoked sweet potato sandwich off the menu. Really not worth going anymore.

Great spot and food is great. 4 stars because they need to source a thicker / more dense rye bread. Too mushy and you can't pick up the sandwich.
Was in there for lunch today. Was very busy. Had to order up front then wait. Waitress was very good but all by herself and very busy felt sorry for her. . We waited for an hr for food. Peopke after us got served first. Too many people at one table there was 8. I don't think we will go back until they get some staff .

We have had the smoked meat sandwich with fries and dill pickle several times now. Every time it is delicious! Thank you thank you. Rivals smoked meat sandwiches in Montreal and Ottawa. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Two years later we returned. The excellent smoked meat is still sliced too thick to my liking, the bread is wimpy and tastes a day old. It certainly wasn’t baked that day. It is a small step up from Wonderbread. Luckily, I asked to have the dish served on a plate instead of the paper-lined basket. That was an improvement. Service was very good as before.

Paid extra $ for Bacon and Chives on my poutine - did not get it. Too late to complain as it was pre-paid for and picked up and delivered. Won't be going back
