Me and my friends were here to taste test the wines they have but the wine taste attendant were so racist, his name is Daniel and we asked him politely but he was so rude, you could see it in his eyes that he was not happy to attend us, and we were there just for 5 mins before we asked him. We didn’t feel welcomed or respected. So zero stars. I don’t know even know why people sign up for such jobs where you have to attend alot of people.

I’m a local and live 4 mins down the street. This restaurant makes me so sad. It is terrible!! Horrible interior and horrible food.It has so much potential but clearly the owners have zero interest in updating or appealing to the locals. It has no vibe, no style, no personality, no energy.Maybe someday they’ll care enough about the community to invest and make it a desirable place to spend an evening. :(

Sensational wines and the best value tasting I have come across in multiple countries. $11.50 for 4 samples, although I was served 6 on a quiet Friday afternoon, including a $188 per half bottle ice wine. And no pressure to purchase wine, although if you do the tasting is deducted from the price.Lovely location, great views, and the lady who served and chatted to me was lovely. Very highly recommend a visit.

Lynne, a most efficient server added to our special day of celebrating my dear friend Bonnie’s birthday. She assisted us in wine recommendations to enjoy with our meal. Through out our dining experience she often inquired if there was anything else we would like. She offered to take photos of us for memories. In celebration of Bonnie’s birthday she offered a sampling of ice wine. We loved it so much, that I purchased a bottle for a house warming gift! I will return with my friends to enjoy another experience of fine dining. Thank you!Cheryl Mohrsen

Summerhill winery is best known for its sparkling wines… Specifically their brut. The gal who was pouring wine for us, mentioned that it has now won 30 years in a row, the recognition for being Canada’s best sparkling wine. This is quite an achievement… Although I didn’t inquire who, or which organization was giving out the award.Regardless, our tasting experience was flawless.Their wines are all 100% organically, sourced, and produced. The owner of this winery seems to be on a life mission to produce quality in both his wines and their restaurants food. This winery and Vineyard have gone through great lengths and pains to ensure sustainability, and best organic practices to produce and provide the best wines possible in this region, and the amount of awards that are on display are proof of this tireless endeavor.I really enjoy the red wines, specifically the Keter and the toadstool Syrah. When you select your wines for the tasting, which is complementary, by the way, you are given the choice to include an ice wine at the end. We chose two separate vintages of their Merlot ice wine, 2012, and 2016. We shared these so we could compare the two. Holy smokes is this amazing ice wine. If you are a fan of sparkling wine, red wine, or ice wine… What am I saying? If you’d like wine visit this winery.Second review: Feb 2024:Summerhill winery:Daniel Poured our wines today, this man is a wealth of knowledge about this wineries offerings. If you’re able to, consider visiting the wineries during the off-season. This afford you extra time with the tasting room, staff, where they sometimes spend more time with you talking about the winery, how things got started… What set them apart, or makes them unique more special, amongst all the other wineries out there. For instance, Summerhill wineries commitment to organically produced wine and sustainability. They take pains to do things right here, and the amount of metals that their wines win are a testament to their tremendous efforts.Wine tasting included their Chardonnay, followed by their pinot Noir, then their Cabernet franc, then the Keter wine whose label includes the cabal tree of life. This is also a whose label includes the cabal tree of life. This is also a very good wine very good wine. We ended up with a very good Spadefoot Toad Syrah this is one of my favorite red wines in this region.Consider this a must visit winery when you visit the Okanagan.

For 8 years Summerhill was my favorite winery. In the past they had the best service and best tastings. I used to bring all my out of town guests here for a free wine tasting, and then we'd buy bottle of wine or two to share during their visit. It was always a huge highlight for my guests. But last time I was here my experience was wildly different and I was really disappointed.Basically, we walked in, were told we had to pay for a tasting, and we asked why, as we been there many times before and never been charged so we were surprised. In response the tasting server shamed us saying everyone coming for free tastings was cheap and taking advantage of the winery and she was "so glad" they stopped doing it.She was clearly implying that she thought we were planning on taking a free tasting and not buying anything... even though over my 8 years visiting here I always bought something after receiving a free tasting. We walked out because of this servers rude attitude. Simply asking "why is there a fee now?" after being a loyal supporter for 8 years does not warrant being talked to rudely or looked down for being "cheap".Now if I do visit in the future, it'll be just to enjoy the view because it is truly spectacular. But I wont be spending money here again.

Great wines, cost of wine tasting goes towards wine purchase. We're a big fan of their bubbles and whites

I bought some famous Canadian ice wine. This winery wins awards every year, so the quality of the wine must be good.

First visited Summerhill back in 1991 when there really wasn't a winery yet. My partner and I stopped in to buy some Cipes champagne we had tried at a food fair in Edmonton. My partner ended up helping The owner Steven fix his corking machine that had just arrived from Europe. We proceeded to dring a few bottles onsite after he fixed Stevens corker. We visited Summerhill a few weeks ago for a tasting. What a wonderful facility. We bought a case of some of their best. Keep up the great work Summerhill!
