Went for a drive the other day and found this affordable hidden gem. Here is what I got: Omakase (11 pieces $19) Agedashi Tofu Red Dynamite Roll - Dynamite roll with torched spicy tuna and tobiko on top Located along BC1E and Golden Ears way, Kuroneko Japanese Bistro serves affordable omakase. The highlight is definitely the omakase, where else can we find a place that serve omakase that is cheaper than $20! The omakase itself consisted of 11 pices of nigiri. The nigiris comprimise of some basic fishes and tamago. It was beautifully plated with other fruits. The rest of the food were also enjoyable. I think it is worth the drive once in a while .

The food was amazing! So fresh, the rice cooked to perfection, and the flavours were so yummy. The packaging was wonderful for our delivery order, and they even included a little fruit accent! They also include a super thoughtful note. Very happy!

My first time trying this sushi place this evening and I am beyond impressed.The presentation of the food was on point, I've never seen sushi put together the way they did in the container, and with the little note attached so cute! & It tasted delicious, I ordered Gyoza, California and Tuna roll. I will definitely be back.

Best salmon/tuna donburi I've had in the lower mainland. Great rice, fish is fresh and cut nicely and a great price. Can't believe such good quality sushi exists in Maple Ridge.

New favourite sushi restaurant!!!! My Husband and I came here for dinner the other night and the food was amazing! We ordered chicken teriyaki, prawn tempura, yam tempura roll, dynamite roll, avocado roll, salmon/avo roll, negi-hama roll, salmon nigiri, another roll I can’t quite remember the name of and sake. All so fresh and tasty! Beautiful presentation of rolls. Server was friendly and efficient. Restaurant is nice and clean. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Service is great, food is extraordinarily delicious. The only problem I have is the pop music being played. Change the music from banal pop to something more interesting and my rating goes to 5

What can I say… maybe that it’s by far, the best sushi restaurant in maple ridge! The front end ladies are such a joy to speak with, the FOOD IS AMAZING! The portion size is so generous and the taste is to die for. Thanks kuroneko crew for yet another amazing dinner!

Great food and amazing staff. Service is consistently good. I love the presentation and attention to detail on a la carte and sushi. Menu could be a bit bigger with better variety of sushi rolls. Otherwise, this is the best Japanese dining experience in Maple Ridge.
