Jan. 24th./ I had been stopped at the door after my more-intoxicated friend had made it in. But I was told i was "too drunk". I had only had two drinks at the previous bar over many hours and I was almost completely sober going here, and had no issue getting in before but the doorman had some weird power tripping problem. Love the bartenders, who one even tried telling him I wasn't drunk but he wouldn't listen. But what can you do. I guess change your door staff. Thanks.

The bartenders are all wonderful from my experience, this review is specifically the doorman that worked on the night of Wednesday January 24th, I came in to the bar around 12:45am, my friend came after. My friend was not allowed in the bar because she was as he stated "intoxicated". She was not intoxicated, I had confirmed that she only had 2 drinks prior, and even the bartender said that she was not drunk, Nikki, after I came out and heard about it, I asked why and was told this. I then went to say that I was drunk and intoxicated, slurring my words on accident because I actually was, and then he proceeded to try to explain himself, and I said again to make sure it was fresh in his memory that I was drunk, and then asked if I could go back in, he said I was allowed back in, despite me telling him that I was intoxicated, he still wouldn't let her in, I refuse to go if this man is working, ever again

Security don’t know their laws on taking ID in B.C. it’s actually laughable. not at all worth it lol. Go to evolve or level 2 for better music & drinks anyways!!

Went to drink some draft and have a good time. Service didn't realize I was there for 15 minutes, then said they were out of draft, and to go to the terminal if that's what I was looking for. Sad to see how far this bar has fallen. Under trained staff, Bad management, and even worse owners. I won't be back.

Was just there tonight, completely behaving myself. Had a few drinks but that’s the point. I took two steps out of the palace to check to see if my friend was outside smoking and the bouncer told me I was done and it was time for me to go home with ZERO reason and when asked for a reason I didn’t receive one. I then argued because I did not understand why I was being kicked out considering I have NEVER been kicked out of a club in my 12 years of going to clubs. I didn’t receive a reason. The rudest most awful treatment I’ve ever received in my life. I will never be back and I willl tell everyone I know. I miss your old bouncers and fun staff this is just sad.

Historic building in Nanaimo. A nice place to grab a pint or two in the afternoon. I personally wouldn't spend late nights here as I feel it gets a little suspicious. No free parking anywhere close-by. I thought my burger was pretty good. Very central to everything else downtown.

Decent little place. Would give it a 3.5. Kinda small. Decent patio. Bartender was nice elf to run out and return my ID after I forgot it (they hold it for playing pool).
