Great place BUTpoor hoursHow about opening 7-9 to attract the after dinner crowd who love a good coffee and desert? Hard to find a coffee shop in Nelson after dinner without visiting a full service restaurant.

The positive: the font chosen for the sign was nice. The negatives: there was an overpowering odour of stale coffee emanating. Should have aborted there but didn’t. Latte was was over-extracted, strong to the point that any flavour was obliterated, and the milk over steamed. As with the Oso Negro the coffee was recycled into a planter.

Nice place, decent service but totally mediocre coffee. It's like so many independent coffee places where they try to save money on the amount of coffee they use to brew your coffee. It was not as good as Timmy's or Macdonald's and cost a lot more so it was ultimately disappointing. Nothing worse than insipid, mediocre coffee to start your day!
