Like everything, it seems quality is decreasing while price is increasing. Meat used to be shaved off the rotisserie and grilled or put directly into your wrap. Now the meat gets chopped and ground then placed into an insert dish on the make line and sits there drying out and getting cold until someone orders it. After being wrapped donairs used to be toasted on the grill to perfection. Now they’re placed on a sandwich press or something and don’t get toasted or heated up at all. I think the good old days of getting authentic Mediterranean cuisine are gone and I should just lower my expectations. Donair Dude used to be good, now it is not.

This is now my favorite donair place of all that ive tried before. Had a beef pita wrap yesterday in the evening served by a nice long bearded gentleman and it was the most filling and delicious one ive had so far. Worth the the money spent! Definitely coming here again!

I must express my disappointment with the portion sizes and pricing at your establishment. I found it unreasonable to be charged $17.99 for a small shawarma with what seemed like only a half portion of extra meat. Regrettably, this experience has led me to decide not to return. Instead, I will be heading to Shawarma Point, conveniently located within walking distance from my school.

used to be good before it burned down. after re opening they overcharge and severely ration your food. ive had the lamb poutine twice since they opened up again and both times ive gotten sick, felt like death and spend a lengthy time in the washroom. do not touch the lamb for your own sake. in fact avoid this place completely.

It's a clean establishment, a bit pricey, but the food was not that great. I don't feel good after eating. The food was a little on the bland sife. The people were nice and the service was good, so I feel bad writing this. I had the falafel wrap.

Donair Dude used to be my favourite Donair in New West. I had been anxiously waiting for them to reopen, so I finally went to try it again. I was thoroughly disappointed. The portion size used to be great, but just look at the referenced image I took of my pita. It cost basically $13 for something I could eat in two minutes it was so small. I highly recommend Shawarma Corner just up the street instead, which gives more food for cheaper.

They are now extremely conservative with their quantities. They jacked up their prices by a whole lot so now it’s not even a good affordable option. When you do spring for their food they nickel and dime you on sauces right before giving you minuscule portions. You have to pray they make a mistake so you can get your moneys worth of meat or fries. They used to have good deals but now under the guise of inflation they have 2x’d their prices while taking away value. They just got greedy. After they reopened and installed an industrial strength fan you can barely hear yourself think in there and the staff can’t hear you either. So they get orders wrong.Imaginary lines in the sand with their vegetables and sauces. Like are you really going to go bankrupt if you give me 4 sauces instead of 3?? I genuinely loved this place but I always get hurt going back. Props to the staff for being so understanding and redoing orders. Please get rid of the loud fan, it’s impossible to order with it.

It's not wrapped properly. It's too loose that of you cut them in half the veggies and other ingredients are falling off.

This location has really disappointed and frustrated me, after reopening post-fire/closure. There are a lot of new staff really struggling, resulting in confusing chaotic and slow service. It takes forever to have my order done, surpassing 15 minutes just for a pita the other day. The space is extremely small and crowded, with no clear lineup nor anywhere to stand. Delivery driver orders seem to take precedence over anyone in-person. Just really somewhere I'm keen to avoid now.

This got rebuilt after a fire and the end result is better than ever. Canadas best poutine. So cheesy and gooey and I don’t know what they put in it but it’s like a parsley. AMAZING!!!

I have been going here since it originally opened. Chicken pita is my go to as I enjoy the sauces and the just eight doneness of the chicken. The pita is finished in a sandwich iron which gives it an extra crunch.Dec 2023: The shop is reopening after a fire. Everything is repaired. Do give some courtesy to the staff in training. Help a local business get back on their feet.
