So many products with expired date! I have been visiting this store for a long time and I noticed before but I was like ok maybe they forgot to remove it from the shelf-it happens.Today I was there with my friends and we were in shock. We bought many things and on one of those products expiration date was June last year! I tried the product and I spit it out because it was dry and when I checked the date I was really surprised. The other product had the expiration date Nov 2023, and another one Feb 2024.It is a pity because many people come from even North Van to buy products. Can you imagine going happy there buying things you like from your country but then when you try them and realize the dates you get disappointed.Girls who work there don't know well English and once one of them asked me to translate for them.Also, once I ordered pljeskavica on the phone and when I went there to pick it up she said that she forgot to make it and she asked if I can wait another 20 mins (I couldn't, I was in rush). She was not working alone.I am not going back there if I have to check exp date every time! Once you lose the trust you do not feel comfortable going back.Moreover, it was so hot inside the store, no fresh air.

My favorite is the grilled stuffed patty with cheese, and you can request extra cheese on top. Their smoked meats, fresh sausages, and nutella rolls are really good.Vegetarian options: They have a great vegan desserts.

Plus, it is very reasonably priced.Besides her usual menu, which gets 5 stars at least, be sure to try “žito” (traditional wheat and walnut desert) and “knedle sa šljivama” (plum noodles). Out of this world!!!Although we have closer shops with similar menus, my Mom and I travel 25km each way at least every other week, to shop at Gospa’s Delightful Foods.Be sure to give it a try!

Five stars, what else? Hard-working people making delicious homemade food. Sausages, European style bacon, Amazing cakes and pastries. I just purchased a cake and poppyseed strudel. Can’t give enough positive comments to describe it. This fine lady makes cakes infused with lots of love and passion. This was definitely a best a poppyseed strudel I ever had. If this i not an art, what is it? Check the pictures I just took.

I have been shopping at Gospa’s on a weekly basis since she has operated the store. She has the best pork rinds in Metro Vancouver (I have tried several other stores), meat burek (stuffed phyllo pastry), freshly made cookies and cakes, a great selection of dry goods and snacks from the Balkan region and prepared cooked meals (cabbage rolls, goulash, bean stew, etc.). Service is always friendly.
