I really enjoy their food. Today the wasabi was not included in the party tray because they forgot. I feel really disappointed and am home now and i contacted the restaurant to let them know.3 stars is the disappointment for missing an item otherwise i would give 5 stars.

Small portion for the spicy salmon sashimi. I ordered the Ikura nigiri and the negitoro roll, the rice is warm. Wasn't busy at all so food was fast and server was very nice.

Korean staff. Went for take out. The waiter was super kind and nice to the white lady in front of me. When her food was ready, he handed her the bag.Me, being a smaller Asian dude, got no such service. When my food was ready, he was walking towards me but decided to walk right past me at the last second and placed the bag on the counter near the entrance and did a 180 and walked straight back to the staff area. I said thank you and he said nothing and pretty much ignored me.Racist towards Asians even though they are Asian. Ridiculous. Maybe he thought the 15% tip I gave was not enough?

Went here for the first time today and had an amazing experience! The place was very clean and the customer service we received was very speedy and top quality. The waitress was extremely nice and made sure we were satisfied with everything and if we needed anything else. As for the food, it was very tasty and I can see myself coming here a lot more in the future!!!

Good food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere with separate booths. A nice little spot for some sushi.

I stopped getting sushi here for a couple of years as it just was not very good. It was average then and with so many other sushi places in the vicinity, it was a place to avoid. Recently I learnt the food is good again with a new owner. I guess the ownership changed hands a few times for this restaurant. The place looked nicer and more spacious now. Could be due to covid, to remove the tables in the middle. I noticed there are coat hooks at the table booths. Plexiglass was put up between the booths too. I went in half hour before they were to close for their break (3:30-4:00 pm) so I had a quick meal. The menu has changed from before. I used to get the BC combo which is no longer on the menu. I decided to get the house roll and gomae roll. Served on a stone platter, the food looked appetizing. The house roll is not of the usual typical variety in many other sushi places. Here the house roll has yam tempura, prawn tempura, crabmeat and avocado inside, with tuna and salmon outside. Unagi sauce and Mayo are brushed over it. So good. The gomae roll has spinach and avocado with the dressing dotted on it. Yummy too. Service was ok. They did not bother to check if I need a top up to my drink. Maybe because it was close to their break time then. I will return to try other items on the menu. I am glad to have this food option again when I am in Columbia Square.

Better than rated. Lots of doing takeout order for a Monday. I enjoyed, Sashimi box [Sunomono]. I liked the raw fish the best.

I'm surprised this place isn't rated higher. It's really a hidden gem that I just discovered a few months ago. The chicken teriyaki rolls I ordered from here multiple times were some of the best I've had. The yakiudon I tried was tasty and cooked perfectly. The takoyaki didn't come with bonito flakes when I ordered through UberEats but it was good quality and I just added some of my own at home. The donburis have a lot of meat and are very tasty as well. When I get something from here I usually get some donburi leftovers to go with my stuff because they're that good and packed conveniently.

Wow ,surprised I just had a lovely lunch at Hayashi Susi place to day , , restaurant is not very big , but clean and airy ,safety plan well follow , family run ,staff ( owner ? ) very nice and friendly , menu is not over size , ,I am so fussy ,but happy to say their Sashimi Bento Box quality very fresh and great value for $17.95 , ,the tempuras not oily at all ,the miso soup not too salty , and my friend ,she love the Chicken Teriyaki ,sauce just right not over too sweet , we both enjoyed the lunch and full , if I am in the area again , 100 % I will be coming back here for my lunch ,no more Fish & Chips ,or Bungers ! ,so for good lunch try the Hayashi Susi first ! you will thank me for it !

The manfriend and I weren't in the mood to cook last night so we ordered sushi from here via DoorDash. We were just coming back from watching the sunset at Burnaby Mountain and I wanted the sushi to arrive as we were getting back to my place, so I placed the order when we were 20 minutes away. The timing couldn't have been more perfect because we stepped in my place and not even 5 minutes later, there was a knock on my door. In terms of food, I ordered the Hyashi Combo which had the california roll, dynamite roll, and yam tempura roll. To spice it up I got some extra spicy mayo on the side. For the man, he got the chicken teriyaki bento box. By the way he was devouring it, I would assume he enjoyed it very much. My sushi was fresh and still warm. Everything came labeled and they threw in extra soy sauce and chopsticks. Our bellies were more than satisfied and happy from this meal. Based on my takeout experience, I'd definitely order from them again!
