Prices are about 20-30% more than their competitors. I am not sure why. Portions are a little smaller. So maybe you are paying for smaller portion options. Rice was more than 30% less, same brand, at Persia. Had to return it. Also, they had to confirm how much they charged. We were given only the debit receipt. So there is likely an issue with overcharging as is shamefully an ongoing issue at Iranian establishments I recall my parents complaining about in the 90s when I was a kid. Shameful that we not only do not help each other but also steal and cheat each other in such petty ways. It is not all Iranians, but there are a lot of bad apples.

I've found this Persian grocery store to be quite interesting. While not everything is top-notch, there are some standout items. The TAHCHIN is worth a try, and the TORSHI-MAKHLOT is quite good. We recently acquired a samovar, which has added a unique touch to our home. The staff is honest and generally

The best kept secret in north van. The back of the shop has a bakery where they make the best and freshest wholewheat sangak bread everyday. Try it with their homemade Hummus. They also have some delicious baklava and other fresh food items at the deli counter.
