I have been coming here for 20 years and this was my favorite sushi restaurant.I was seated at the bar and then completely ignored for at least 15 minutes while the group next to me who came in 5 minutes after me were served before any of the staff even acknowledged I was there.I am unable to rate the quality of the food because I felt extremely embarrassed sitting there being completely ignored. I felt very unwelcome so I politely let the server know I was leaving. The young lady did not even offer an apology.Throughout the pandemic I made a point of getting take out regularly in support of this restaurant but I feel that the quality of the experience is no longer worth the price point they are currently asking.

Lunch time on a Friday and Hamaei was busy. Seems like a popular spot.I went in for a bento box but the price was a deterrent. So I took a miso, 1 yam roll & gomaeThe miso was a miss. I won't be ordering that againGomae was tasty. Not too sweet.Yam roll was nice.Service excellent and friendly. Chef was kind.Tea was lovely
This place is phenomenal! Unbelievable! Everything very fresh, well priced, tasty! The staff was also very informative and attentive, Highly recommended! Definitely try it again! Wow!
