What a great first experience I had at this restaurant tonight! I will definitely be back very soon. Beautiful presentation of our prosciutto, arugula + Burrata appetizer (delicious too) — if you’ve seen it — you know what I mean. The pizza was also absolutely divine.Everything we had was fabulous! Excellent food and service from start to finish. We had lots of questions about the menu, and the owner was very accommodating.We were lucky enough to try some passion fruit sorbetto Christina (one of the owners) was making, and I can honestly say that it was the best sorbetto I have ever had! Even better than I had in Italy!Can’t wait to come back to this spot and try some other menu items. Highly recommend! I’ve worked in hospitality for almost two decades, and I can say with confidence, that this place knows what they’re doing.

I would not recommend this corner store gelato establishment, and the owner is extremely rude. If you are looking for a better Gelato shop, I would recommend the one in Deep Cove the gelato tastes significantly better, and the owner is a lot friendlier.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.The staff is extremely rude and not customer service oriented at all. They are very defensive and argumentative when provided constructive feedback or when you express a concern. Rather than apologizing or making the situation right they make excuses and blame the customer.My first experience here was dining in, we ordered spaghetti con polpette and yuck the pasta sauce in the spaghetti con polpette is flavourless. Chef boyardee is better.On another day, the owner had the audacity to request that I return to pay for $6 gelato when their machines weren’t working. How cheap is that?! Either don’t give the gelato or give it for free. Since they were panicking about getting their $6 we provided cash despite their sign saying they don’t take cash but under this circumstance they sure were quick to take the cash. The gelato came to $6.10 and we gave a 10$ bill. They did not have exact change in their till so rather than giving us $4 back they were digging through their tip jar to scrounge up $3.90 exact change. They really wanted that extra 10 cents which was humorous.We also asked to use the bathroom. The owner rudely told us it’s for customers only even though we had just bought a gelato from this place.

This restaurant is truly a breathless experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is the best blend of hominess and sophistication. These cooks, owners, servers, and pastry chefs are clearly proffesionals and love their craft. We were literally welcomed by EVERYONE, from the waiters, to the owner, to the chefs. This service and food quality is unmatched, and if you have any concerns, they are more than happen to accomodate. I've paid twice as much at other establishments and gotten half the dining experience. Everyone so patient, so classy, and so caring. I don't know what else to tell you, except to not come here. ? Because we always want our favourite table at the back free for us! Thank you for making our Sunday (and 5 year anniversary) so special.

Extremely unwelcoming owner and wife. If you are paying for their over priced unauthentic Romanian/ Italian food then they’ll welcome you with open arms. However the owners here are suspiciously weird about the bathroom use and extremely unfriendly. Want to buy runny gelato for $13 dollars and use the washroom to wash your hands ? Prepare for the worlds biggest argument! What odd behaviour in such a nice neighbourhood. The owner basically called me a crackhead because we were on a family walk in sweat pants on a rainy day and wanted some gelato. This establishment does not fit in to the Lonsdale neighbourhood vibe. Please go somewhere else.

The Bruschetta portion was small and lacked flavor. The worst part of my experience was the owner's attitude; it seems like he has no clue how to treat people. At the end of the day, his restaurant wouldn't exist without customers. Considering the owner's behavior, even one star is too much, but I'll give it three because the staff were friendly and made an effort.P.S. to the owner: Dude, I bet even your employees are sick of your attitude. I gave 3 stars to your employee. your own rating is one big brownie. Because of your rude reply, I'll make it one. What a shame you are.
